This is a T-shirt to promote the ‘ninety smokers’ project, a piece of work carried out by photographer Dan Donovan in the UK to counteract the criminalising of smoking in any indoor public venue after 1st July 07. The work can be viewed at Donovan’s web site www.dandonovan.co.uk

The iron skeleton is all that remains on the Trinculo – an iron sailing barque which was driven ashore by gale in 1879. Immediately next to Trinculo, the sand is covering the remains of another vessel – the PS Paynesville. Along the Ninety Mile Beach at the costline of East Gippsland, Victoria, Golden Beach near Seaspray.

The weather on this day had been so miserable – so much so that I nearly didn’t catch this sunset (because I didn’t think we’d see the sunset!) But , the clouds cleared a little, the sun peeked through and then there were all these different blues. I’m so glad I went out it was a moody, wonderful sunset! /
