  • The most amazing light fell over Rainbow Bay, QLD at sunset on the 8th of July. The wind dropped to nothing, the swell was glassy and the colours of the sky and water kept growing richer and richer until finally darkness took over. An amazing night to be out walking, surfing or taking snaps…I hope you can get the feel!

  • This was fun, and I used a base infrared image that I shot in my own back garden, yes that wonderful tree is outside my window..;-) The swan and moon are from elsewhere in my wanderings, and what a nice composition they all made together…oooh I just love infrared!

  • Taken in 2008 from my home in Va. with a Canon Digital Rebel XSI…....

  • / “Bamboo Night is Part of the new “Tropics” Collection... Watercolour on Fabriano Artistico Hot Pressed Paper.. The aura of bamboo grove by night is charming to behold, / The moon peeks thru the leaves painting the grove in silhouette and silvery shadows, / The trees resonate with the heartbeat of romance, / Each knot feels like the ladder to advance to the higher level of ecstasy of love. J.Narain.. /

  • Filling up a glass of water and noticed this out of the kitchen window. Literally ran outside with a t-shirt and slippers on to get this before it went. First few shots were a golden amber in color then it went to this before it disappeared. Only snapped about 30 bracketed shots before it was gone. Gonna go a repot my orchid while this is uploading (and I finished it, thanks dial-up). Hope you like it. Please critique… print available here and on my website. • / “Imagination “is part of the series “The Trees”, all the seasons together, inspired by the Green movement, and painted in Watercolour on Arches Hot Pressed Paper..see others below 1450 views The tree which moves some to tears of joy, is in the eyes of others, only a green thing that stands in the way. / Some see Nature all ridicule and deformity, and some scarce see Nature at all. / But to the eyes of the man of imagination, Nature is Imagination itself. / William Blake, 1799, The Letters* / / / /

  • A picture of a misty winter landscape where I live. Taken in the “blue hour”. Nikon D300 / Nikon 18-200 VR / iso 400 f:6.3 S=1/15 on tripod I liked the atmosphere and the simplicity in it. It was like being present in the moment of silent cosmic creation. Inspired by Crash Test Dummies: God Shuffled His Feet Lyrics “God Shuffled His Feet” After seven days / He was quite tired so God said: / “Let there be a day / Just for picnics, with wine and bread” / He gathered up some people he had made / Created blankets and laid back in the shade The people sipped their wine / And what with God there, they asked him questions / Like: do you have to eat / Or get your hair cut in heaven? / And if your eye got poked out in this life / Would it be waiting up in heaven with your wife? God shuffled his feet and glanced around at them; / The people cleared their throats and stared right back at him So he said:”Once there was a boy / Who woke up with blue hair / To him it was a joy / Until he ran out into the warm air / He thought of how his friends would come to see; / And would they laugh, or had he got some strange disease? God shuffled his feet and glanced around at them; / The people cleared their throats and stared right back at him The people sat waiting / Out on their blankets in the garden / But God said nothing / So someone asked him: “I beg your pardon: / I’m not quite clear about what you just spoke / Was that a parable, or a very subtle joke?” God shuffled his feet and glanced around at them; / The people cleared their throats and stared right back at him

This artwork was featured in Dimensions, Imaginative Realism, Photo Manipulators, and Fantasy Fine Art Composites This image has come to mean a lot to me since I first posted it. When I was making it, I was simply merging a bunch of elements that I really enjoy – nature, juxtaposing seasons, a captivating background, interesting model poses, realistic water, and using a monochromatic blue colour scheme. But I guess subconsciously, I was creating an outward projection of how I feel about a very passionate issue with which I am currently faced… Due to resolution issues, the deer had to be photo-painted into the image. Water effect created using a displacement map in PS. • A wild horse traveling through the cold snowy winters night

  • As I stood upon a clearing white / My heart so full of fear, / I gazed into the murk of night / And asked that God be near. An angel touched his hand to mine / That I not be alone. / Then a light shone down / To light my way… / I knew which way was home.

  • Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 0.1 second, ISO100, processed in Photoshop Another shot from my recent holiday, this is a view of the amazing lighthouse at South Stack on the north coast of Anglesey (Wales). There was a howling wind and it was extremely cold but it was an amazing site to see!! Some information on the lighthouse taken from visit anglesey website… In 1645 when lighthouses were privately owned, King Charles II was petitioned for a patent to build a lighthouse on South Stack. The request was refused. However, 143 years after the original petition, Trinity House leased South Stack island and construction of the lighthouse commenced. On 9 February 1809, the station’s oil lamps, designed by Daniel Alexander at a cost of £12,000, were first lit. In 1828 an iron suspension bridge was built to replace the rope catwalk that originally linked the lighthouse to the bottom of the 400 steps down the cliff face. This was one of the many changes that have taken place at South Stack since 1809. The lights regularly became more efficient and in 1938 electric power replaced the oil that powered the lamps. In 1964 the iron bridge was taken down and a new one of aluminium was put up in its place. The lighthouse was automated in 1984, and the keepers withdrawn. Today, the lighthouse is monitored and controlled by computer link from Trinity House Operations Centre in Harwich, Essex.
