I was having fun experimenting one night on our street as I loved how the lights reflected off the snow on our street, these log homes with big windows really allowed this scene to come out. Tried and tried over and over to give it that festive feeling around X-mas, anyhow, here`s the result. / Canon XT, sigma 17-35mm 2.8 over 15 sec

The Colosseum is probably the most impressive building of the Roman empire. Originally known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it was the largest building of the era. Best shot I got without a tripod – taken 06/12/2007 leaning on a bin!! /

Filling up a glass of water and noticed this out of the kitchen window. Literally ran outside with a t-shirt and slippers on to get this before it went. First few shots were a golden amber in color then it went to this before it disappeared. Only snapped about 30 bracketed shots before it was gone. Gonna go a repot my orchid while this is uploading (and I finished it, thanks dial-up). Hope you like it. Please critique… print available here and on my website. ...to all and to all a good night! Picture taken in the Swiss Alps with the Matterhorn in the horizon.
We all spend a part of each day, just waiting for something…a phone call…a bus to come…the traffic to move…the kettle to boil…a holiday…a pay rise…love…happiness…success…a file to upload. / Perhaps you’ve been waiting your whole life for something to happen? / Or maybe it’s just about to…any minute now.
This was fun, and I used a base infrared image that I shot in my own back garden, yes that wonderful tree is outside my window..;-) The swan and moon are from elsewhere in my wanderings, and what a nice composition they all made together…oooh I just love infrared!

A picture of a misty winter landscape where I live. Taken in the “blue hour”. Nikon D300 / Nikon 18-200 VR / iso 400 f:6.3 S=1/15 on tripod I liked the atmosphere and the simplicity in it. It was like being present in the moment of silent cosmic creation. Inspired by Crash Test Dummies: God Shuffled His Feet Lyrics “God Shuffled His Feet” After seven days / He was quite tired so God said: / “Let there be a day / Just for picnics, with wine and bread” / He gathered up some people he had made / Created blankets and laid back in the shade The people sipped their wine / And what with God there, they asked him questions / Like: do you have to eat / Or get your hair cut in heaven? / And if your eye got poked out in this life / Would it be waiting up in heaven with your wife? God shuffled his feet and glanced around at them; / The people cleared their throats and stared right back at him So he said:”Once there was a boy / Who woke up with blue hair / To him it was a joy / Until he ran out into the warm air / He thought of how his friends would come to see; / And would they laugh, or had he got some strange disease? God shuffled his feet and glanced around at them; / The people cleared their throats and stared right back at him The people sat waiting / Out on their blankets in the garden / But God said nothing / So someone asked him: “I beg your pardon: / I’m not quite clear about what you just spoke / Was that a parable, or a very subtle joke?” God shuffled his feet and glanced around at them; / The people cleared their throats and stared right back at him
