A dark night, in the city that never sleeps. Fog was creeping in, in that sneaky way that fog has. It was plucking at the legs of three friends, trying to trip them up. They were just trying to get to the next hot nightspot, where the fog would be man-made and the lights would glow eerily and the music would echo, only you couldn’t hear the echo because it was so loud.

Moonrise on Melrose © Vicki Ferrari This photograph was taken on the Melrose Road, Albert (central New South Wales, Australia), in the 1980’s. This is a scan of the 8X12 print in one of my earlier portfolios – there has only been basic editing done in photoshop, to remove the inevitable dust and scratches that are prominent with negative use (which become really apparent once you have scanned the image!). Apart from that, what you see is what it is! This is one of my favourites. It was even used in a country music CD a few years ago! I was a bit impressed by that – chuffed almost! (yes, I was chuffed, not almost!) You can take pity on the person that was in the car with me, driving home at night and having to stop! I have to take a photo! (and how often do we do that?!) I hope you like this and thank you for looking and reading! / Vicki Purchase Card / Purchase Framed Print / / Purchase Laminated Print / /

BEST VIEWED LARGER Yes Sydney Harbour again , but with a view like that do you blame me? I say this is one of the best vantage points for views of Sydney Harbour and the bridge, and not often is the harbour surface so still that it reflects the span of the bridge and lights so well ! If you look close at the bridge you can see the framework mounted on the bridge as they start rigging her for the biggest and best New Years Eve fireworks display. The Sydney New Year’s Eve Midnight Fireworks is one of the most spectacular shows that takes place in the world’s best open theatre – fireworks firing from barges, skyscraper rooftops and across the iconic arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. So want something to do on New Years Eve, book a flight its not that far away / Equipment:Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200mm lens,Manfrotto Tripod / Technique:HDR 5 Braketted Exposures, Photomatix 3.2 64 Bit Capture NX
