This composition came to fruition around midnight in the middle of nowhere in western NSW. I originally conceived the idea and how it would look and work many years prior but had not much success til this night. enjoy :) Canon EOS A2, Velvia 50. / ©T.Middleton2008 / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—— / / / / more of my meteorological photography can be seen at / thunderstorms more of my outback Australian photography can be seen at / the Aussie outback
This is my entry to the photoshop creative competition. The use of photoshop is not huge as I pretty much only composed nine original images together. But I don’t think it needs more “effects” to tell its story. This is a deconstruction and chaotic recomposition of an urban lanscape in Alexandria, Egypt. Because I see the future dynamic, urban, fast and anarchic.

Midnight outside Victoria coach station in London.
Light trails toward Helsby Hill, Cheshire. Taken from the bridge over the M56, shutter open for 30 seconds.
Taken on that junction in the title in the City of London. A slow shutter speed to capture the action and very lucky timing to have 2 people waiting to cross as 2 buses drive past.

On my way home from the city wanted to capture the S curve in the Monash Freeway near East Malvern setup the tripod and aimed the camera through this bloody annoying fence, it was too high for my tripod so i had to zoom in a bit to miss the pailings. White Balance was tinkered with in Lightroom, 30 second exposure at f 11, focal length was was 37mm at ISO 100 Sales 1 Greeting Card Click here for my other images of Melbourne Click here for my other photos of the Monash Freeway
The City by the Bay sparkles behind the world-famous bridge as a lunar eclipse shimmers off the water in this magnificent long exposure photograph.
Another shot of the Bay Bridge over looking San Francisco. Also if you look on the bridge you can see a police vehicle swerving across lanes to slow traffic.
...if you were facing this way but most people were going the other way! I have a love/hate affair with freeways, hate being on them but love taking photos of them and seeing this one is only 5 minutes from my house it’s always the one I go to. Walking home from the station I looked up and that damn this is gonna be a good sunset and as I didn’t have enough time to get anywhere near the coast or somewhere beautiful I headed here instead. / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm EF-S.
