Featured in Digital Artists United The birth of a star is often witnessed by other heavenly bodies in the night sky. Look into the starry night and you’ll be surprised by what you see. Enjoy the stillness, peer into the dark bits in between the stars. See as far as you can. The nebula background to the left is based on a single NASA image. The model is Dollybeck – who just happens to have hair as red as the original NASA image. I’m listed in her portfolio as Ben Timages. After combining the two photos in Photoshop, I opened it in Painter and hand painted the star-burst effect. It isn’t a filter!! (You can see the individual brush strokes in large versions of this image.) The proceeds of all sales go to World Vision, an organisation dedicated to looking after children in Third World countries. .... EXCEPT, while it still runs through Phoenix Appeal, these proceeds will go to the RED CROSS VICTORIAN BUSHFIRE APPEAL. Check out my web site for twisted IRONy metal sculpture.

I love fog I love the moon…what a fantastic dream to have them together… / One of my first double layers with Picasa,an experience I’ve tried,the moon is much to big but I liked the spooky mood…... :))....2 photos,a moon and a foggy night.The tittle came to me thinking about «Moonstruck» the movie with Sher when the old italian couple were looking outside the window by full moon .They were so much in love and it was so touching… / /

Many dreams are forgotten or lost by the time we awaken fully, but that is not usually the case with dreams of flying. Flying dreams are very often a precursor for lucid dreaming; a dream state in which we are aware we are dreaming and can manipulate the outcome of the dream. Freely flying as high or as low as you wish using your arms or feet for direction, often with the ability to do acrobatics in the air is an indication that you feel really superior about something in your life. Part of a series I started a while ago before I discovered photo shop. I created the originals (Monday ~ Sunday) using collage technique, cutting, pasting, painting but they never really came out the way I wanted them to. So Iv’e decided to try again using my computer this time. pencil on paper (taken from a pad of “drawing” paper from the early 80’s) drawing Another oldie! / Ah, those big eyes I was obsessed with BACK THEN. / Well, friends tease me and say it will be considered one of my “periods”. What you can’t see is that there is a whole top layer of trees that were drawn on the black background and when you look at this from other angles, they are visible – just quietly – like a subtle varnish. This is all about different phases of life borrowing the term of growing to fullness, or “waxing” of the moon. / My name actually means: Of the moon – or lunatic – you pick which fits. hahha! featured in Globes,Spheres&Curves 10-28-2009 / featured in SOLO-EXHIBITION 10-19-2009 An exquisite flower opens, in I Belong to You by Desirée Glanville, to reveal a / huge silvery perl– certainly a priceless treasure. Its antithesis, a gazing ball, / popular in Victorian and modern gardens, is suspended above it. Perhaps / hinting at the subliminal message, the gazing ball mirrors a very real world with tree, water, and sky; / rather than the ideal fantasy that we see before us. / Tiny remnants of petals float in the blue, luminous atmosphere. Desirée has repeated their skeletal / veins in the lower petals of the central flower; so that we know the air is filled with petals pulled from / the larger one. Was this a “He Loves me, he loves me not” scenario—a child’s game with Daisies that / gets replayed in various intonations when we are adults? The video accompanying the piece is a track, “I Belong to You”, from British alternative rock band, / Muse, from their album, The Resistance, released in Europe mid September 2009. / Remembering that the ultimate key to unlock the mystery of Glanville’s art is in the paired music, / it’s of importance that the song and lyrics regard one who travels half the world to tell their muse “I / Belong to You”. / Mid-song, from this British band, are French verses, sung with such emotion to melt the soul. / They are borrowed from Camille Saint-Saëns’ opera, “Samson and Delilah”. / Delilah sings these verses to seduce Samson, in a famous aria in Act II, “Mon coeur s’ouvre ta / voix” (“My heart opens itself to your voice”, or commonly “Softly awakes my heart”). / Ah! réponds à ma tendresse! / Verse-moi, verse-moi l’ivresse! / translated: / Ah! respond to my tenderness! / Fill me with ecstasy! / It’s uncertain, here, whether Desirée is presenting the side of the muse as a reaction to the / overtures, or the perspective of the one presenting overtures of tenderness to their heart’s desire. / It could be either or both, probably determined by the perspective of the viewer. / This is where fine art brings the viewer in as co-artist, to complete the work. Desirée seems to me / to have accomplished that spiritual merger here. / Either way, Desirée has input in the matter. Remember the gazing ball in the garden.
