I have a little fascination going on that is keeping me occupied. The channel delineators in the bay at Port Melbourne. They’re very hard to detect in the day time, but, at night there is an extravagant yet subtle light show that goes on. I managed to catch the lights for a second or two….:D

The most famous ship in the world, Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2, moored in Sydney’s Circular Quay. To give her well-to-do passengers something to look at as they dined on their spatchcock entrées and awaited her departure, it was arranged to have the Sydney Opera House positioned just across the Quay. In case you’re wondering how this image would look full size, here’s a 100% crop from a section of the image:

Dangerous Days was the original name of the screenplay and film, Blade Runner. An interpretation of the city view, depicting the onset of decay and police omnipresence—juxtaposed with the increase in decadence as the city inhabitants seek solace in pleasure. Blade Runner is one of my favourite movies of all time, and the book is another favourite, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? On a similar theme: Dangerous Days II Dangerous Days: and Nexus 6
The Windeward Bound at Night, Hobart, Tasmania. / This beautiful brigantine has become a National Icon and has been described as a National treasure. She has recently circumnavigated Australia emulating the discoveries and honouring the 1802 voyage of Matthew Flinders, whose logs and journals provide the earliest observations of many parts of the Australian coast. He recorded flora and fauna, as well as the many contacts with the indigenous Australians.
The view looking back down the Hunter River from Nobby’s Beach to the inner city of Newcastle, New South Wales. This scenery later inspired my poem called On A Warm Night In Spring

How many times in your life time have you met a stranger and had an instant connection….In a different Town or Country..You will probely never ever meet them again yet they left a impression on you one way or another. While on my travels in Australia I took this picture on the Queensland coast and I was Inspired to write this…. You Impressed my soul, your smile enlightened my heart / The humour you exuberantley showed while oceans apart / Different cultures of life, different days- ways of speaking different says. / I will remember your gentle voice, your points of interest having choice / I will talk about you for years to come, especially when I am back at home / Thinking about your heat and drought, when trying to pull a snowed car wheel out. / When we sleep, you work your land. Different Oceans Different hands. / The words you spoke, stayed deep within. / Wonder if I will ever see you again? / You pray for rain,we yearn for sun. / Maze of life, write like the pen / We live alternative goals and plights / We met and connected, like ships that pass in the night. / Copyright 2009 Angel Hamilton
