I love shooting at night, and generally am out alone when I’m shooting – it’s when I produce my best work (in my mind anyway). / / This is one of my favorite places in the city. You can sit here alone for hours, traffic streaming past, only the occasional pedestrian, while hundreds, or even thousands of people are just a few feet below. It’s both a quiet spot to find refuge, and a place that symbolizes the loneliness and isolation that can be experienced in a city of millions. © Sara Lamond 2007. Finaly got a night shot of the Perth city (Western Australia) Im happy about . / Went photographing yesterday afternoon and this was the last shot I took of the day , as i came to this spot earlier but it was full of a wedding party and photographer . It is taken from the South Perth fore shore . This file was huge , 8 stitch 16 Bitt panorama with 4 seperate layers coming in at just under 2 gigs . Took me a while to process because of the size . / Will probally have to over clock my machine for the next time and increase the RAM from 4 gigs to 8 gigs . I wanted it as hi res as possible so when i printed it out large size the building and signs are as sharp and clear as possible . Just noticed the resolution Redbubble put the image up dosnet do it justice . / If any one is intrested in a full resolution tiff print please note me . Various images of mine are for sale on various finishes and sizes from Gloss and lustre, Metallic and Fuji Flew prints. An old lantern next to the entrance to the Virgin Mary Visitation church in Hejnice, Jizera mountains, Czech Republic. I feel that giving light is very symbolic for this place where the pilgrimage roads from several countries cross since the 13th century… February 2002. Canon EOS 500N, Sigma 28-135. Post-processing: retouch, blend-modes, color correction, watercolor.
