I have been going through my photos and trying to sort out which groups best suited them. Anyway I decided to put Staircase to the Blues into the night photography group and it was featured almost straight away. This is my most popular piece with 168 views (I know most of you get that in a day on new pieces) and 25 comments (again – I know you guys get this many in an hour), and 5 people favoriting this piece (yeah yeah I know already), but it is one of my favorites too. Have a great weekend guys. / Love you all. Amanda

It’s an honor to be featured in the Eerie Lighting group alongside some of the great light masters including Neil Johnson, Mel Brackstone, Jim and Karla Murray… and the rest of the crew of exceptional talent. The image in question is the Electric Opera photograph and I urge anyone who hasn’t had the chance… go and check out the group and be a witness to the copious amount of talent on offer and feel free to join the fun.

So I opened an account with JPG Mag because I think it’s a great idea and there can be no harm done with the extra exposure by being a member. The opportunity to get published and even get some money for doing so is another great incentive that RB members should take advantage. The next magazine issue will be publishing a nighttime theme, a delectable theme, and a faith theme. I’ve entered my Electric Opera photograph as a candidate for the nighttime theme and have had a great response thusfar. Entries and voting close in 34 days which I think is on October the 7th 2008, so I urge you to check out my entry and place a vote if you see my image as fitting and worthy of being published in the nighttime theme. You may Vote Here and if you are a member, or are considering to become one, drop me a line and add me as a contact so we can rock the JPG party together! I know the talent pool on RedBubble is enormous, so spread the good news and let’s start a riot on JPG. Remember, birds of a feather flock together (I think that’s how the saying goes)... so enter your images and get voting for one another, and don’t forget to add your RB link to your ‘about me’ page.

Morning everyone, / I woke to really dark skies and very high winds again.. sigh don’t you just love winter.. the weather did not bode well for getting out of bed but the thought of coffee drew me to the kitchen. So up I rose, found some coffee and sat down to log into my favorite site to see what all my friends had been up to over night. I then discovered that Lollipop Lips” was featured in the Selective coloring group. The sky brightened alittle bit with the feature. Thank you to the moderatiors of this wonderful group, and warm hugs to all of my amazing friends!! / hugs

I’m organising a Sunset/Night meet up with the Flikr group Photographers In Perth...
I’m organising a Sunset/Night meet up with the Flikr group Photographers In Perth On Saturday November 21 and thought while I’m at it, I would also put out the invitation for the Perth redbubble members too. The purpose of the meet is to allow Photographers from around Perth to meet up and have a shoot, and put some faces behind the people on the internet. These meetings are both a good social, and informative meetings where everyone can share shooting techniques, have a chat about photography, and have a laugh or two while enjoying our common interest of photography. Here are the details: Where The shoot will take place at the beach around the Sea Scouts building, which is located alongside the Kwinana freeway between Canning Hwy and the Como Jetty. We will all be meeting at the carpark on the other side of the freeway, which is located on Melville Parade and can be accessed via Canning Hwy, and then turn onto Henley St (Turn left at the traffic lights out the front of Norse Motors if your heading East down Canning Hwy). The carpark is located next to a park on Melville Parade, so you shouldn’t miss it. We will then all cross the Freeway pedestrian overpass and head over to the location. When Saturday November 21. We will all meet at 6:00pm at the carpark, and then cross to the location at 6:30pm to set up before sunset, which will be at 6:58pm on the night. If anyone can’t make it by this time, or wants to come down later, just walk across the overpass and meet up with the rest of the group. You will see the Scout building, so just follow the path which will bring you to the beach area. Here is a map of the meeting location: Here is a photo of the carpark that we will meet at: The Pedestrian overpass at the car park: The Overpass from the other side of the Freeway: What To Bring Camera, Tripod, Memory cards, Flash, Torch, Filters, Warm clothes as it tends to get windy at the location, and can get a bit cold at night and anything else you would usually bring on a photo shoot. What To See I visited the location to take a look for myself, and there are some really interesting things to shoot around the location, so it should keep everyone busy. There are good views looking out towards Canning Bridge, and the Raffles Hotel, Views looking out towards Applecross and all the boats moored alongside the river, There are views looking out towards the South Perth Yacht club, and views looking out towards the City. There is also the opportunity to shoot from the Pedestrian overpass to get some nice views over the freeway, and provide the opportunity to shoot some traffic trails when it gets darker. Here is a map of the area: And here are a few photos I took at the location: The Sea Scouts Building: The Jetty looking out towards The Raffles Hotel: The Beach looking towards the City: The Beach looking towards Canning Bridge: View from the top of the overpass looking towards the city: If you have any further questions please feel free to ask me by either leaving a comment, or sending me a Bubblemail.
