Hey all! I have been busy creating a design for the SPACE competition over at Bang Bang T-shirts – but this journal isn’t about asking for votes… Its actually to let you know I have officially found a style which I love and seeing if you can help me come up with a name for this species of characters! (eg we are known as HUMANS – ok, some of us are…) Ok, so you probably have seen and commented on LONG LEGS LUKE by now - Well, I really liked the outcome and even though it took me a bit longer, it was worth it. So, to see if that was really the right thing for me, I drew another pic in that style and am totally in love with it too. I will post another journal entry when you can vote on it, but for now here is the full preview - So, what should I call them? I will choose a name as soon as I read something I like – so get in quick! / What does the winner get? 1. A really good fuzzy feeling / 2. A mention and link on my next journal (going out to quite a few people) / 3. My respect – to some people that’s worth more than money (hahah yes I have been watching Fast and Furious) Alright guys, please help me out!

Aka : The flat’fro, the MC, the Nib, the Freshy, Kid ‘n Play, and the Eraserhead (mistakenly) This was THE haircut of the early rap and hip-hop generation, and everyonehadone, including the notorious Fresh Prince of Bel Air. A group of retros on Broadway took a mission to bring the High-Top Fade back to the hood. You’ll find them there every weekend.
Just Do It ...... My motto, these days. I’m fearless when it comes to trying “art” things but very nervous about sharing them. RedBubble is a wonderful Community to be a part of, even for people like me who have a long way to go in learning. Here’s a piece of writing to accompany this image. That pen is very old, I think. I’m pretty sure it’s older than I am. And the background is an acrylics-on-canvas I painted about 14 years ago. I haven’t painted (except on the computer) since. As is. / /
A series of multiple dots using black ink, with an ink nib on rag paper.
An elegant silver handled walking stick, an 1881 Morgan silver dollar, and a vintage Swan Snakeskin fountain pen resting in front of a box of Cuban cigars. A shaft of light highlights the walking stick handle, silver dollar oin, and the pen. Grain added in post-production.

My son Garrett in Highwoods country park near my home in Colchester. I just think he looks so much like one of the Lost Boys from Peter Pan. I love the mischievous look on his face. So very Garrett.
