  • / Isn’t another bad day (yet again) on the stock markets the perfect time to show you my latest still life in the “nostalgia” series, entitled: the stock market. / As usual, old and new elements are mingled together. The painted with light technique was used again, as well as digital manipulation to get the end result I was after. / It’s strange, I spent months planning this shot, preparing and getting the props and then in a few hours time it’s shot. It’s almost an anti-climax. / Well, I hope you enjoy it! / By the way, this is the fourth installment in this series, I’m withholding the second one which I consider my masterpiece in this series. I’ll probably upload it in a few days. / °°° / A wallpaper based on this photo can be found here more work / the calendar /

  • Synthetic polymer paint and newspaper collage on paper. From a series documenting friends who have died from HIV/AIDS related illnesses. While he could still sit upright one of John’s greatest joys was reading the newspaper with Byron the dog.

  • Three fun things to combine: toybricks, 3D and a bit of crazyness. / I have permission from Lego to show this artwork.

  • Fitter Happier more productive?

  • Ink drawing on paper. / For the last 25 years Rita’s daily star sign has read: Capricorn, today you will be as bored and disillusioned as you were yesterday. This is a true story: There was once a woman who lived her life by the daily newspaper starsign she had delivered to her house everyday. She was fanatical about it. If the starsign said bad things will happen that day she would not even leave the house. On one of these particular days when she felt stuck inside she decided to clean out her attic. Whilst doing this she discovered her original birth certificate. It indicated that she was actually born on an entirely different day and month therefore she was a completely different starsign!!! Dear oh dear… I based this character on her.

  • Westfield NJ – April 2008

  • This is an image created to illustrate an environmental portrait of an old camera called a “speed graphic”... the whole scene is meant to tell a story of a time when this camera was in use. I hope you enjoy this marvelous piece of photographic history. Here are some beautifully fitting words by Wayne Cook It’s setting atop my desk, / Bit dusty, but the bellows are still pliable, / Haven’t shot anything in it, / More than 20 years, / Maybe 30…. / Oh, but the negs…. / Glorious things, / Like still nuggets in reverse / I’d shine that enlarger through one…. / Whew…. those celluloids, / Never lost my awe, / The figures almost came to life, / There on the table. / Something about that lifeless frame, / I swear it moves when I turn my back. / Breaks my heart to leave it lay, / But the film…oh, god, it breaks the bank!

  • ALZHEIMERS. HERALD SUN/SUNDAY/MARCH 1st/page 94/Australia Annie Jones..you had me in tears! This is an article/interview about how Annie Jones/ gave away her brilliant acting career to care for her mother who was stricken down with ALZHEIMERS. This a MUST read and such a humbling story….... The image created here : my thoughts of Annie ’s mother. I know she was in her 60’s when the reality of life started playing games with her mind but this is how I see what happened .What is real breaks away/becomes segmented…...and all the things one loves become separated…..........something breaks from yesterday The mind so fragile and YES only those very close family members notice the differences in behaviour / at first…....

  • Infrared / Shoal Bay, NSW. / btw – that lens flare is in camera – I really liked it in this piece. ;0)

  • Another one down, like 15 to go, lol. One of the reasons i have been so absent. i feel bad, but i am really trying to get this book done. One drawing takes forever, getting the composition can take days, or longer, then starting the sketch. i started this in pencil on 2 May, 2009. Finished in pencil & started in Prisma colored pencils on 9 May (my brother Chris’ birthday), & just finished today, 22 May (my Dad’s birthday). i will take a slight break & hopefully have time to come around. Really missing you all, but i gotta keep cracking the whip, really hoping to get this book completed.

  • This image was inspired by a newspaper article I read about Wormsense being bought out by another company and how it was affecting it’s shares. So I used the actual newspaper in my image – not sure it’s clear enough to read the article though. / http://www.istockanalyst.com/article/viewiStockNews/articleid/2804132 Canon Rebel xt Canon-70-200 Grackle Southern Ontario Canada (that’s Toronto in the background)

  • Taken on a night shoot recently in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, with Redbubblers Joseph Darmenia and Chris Dowd. / Hand held 40D stretched to the limit, 1/4 sec, f2.8, ISO1600 / PS The beautiful classic fedora hat seen in this photo has now gone to hat heaven. It was last seen in my dog’s basket chewed to bits, after a somewhat tired photographer left it within reach on the dining table! Beagles!!, don’t you love them. /
