This painting is painted in watercolour & is two colours, Sepia & Burnt Umberwith every tone inbetween created from those two colours. Original size is 260mm x 360mm Paper used is 140LB Aches Rough / Its of the lifeguard cottages at cuckmere Haven between Newhaven & Eastbourne.
The is the same as the Newhaven Harbour shot but without the gallery border. This may be more suitable for framed prints.

Newhaven Harbour on a beautiful late summer evening. The boat on the left is a well known locally from harbours such as Newhaven and Dunbar. There are other photographs of the “Robina Inglis” on the site as well as on Flickr.

I took this picture in Dec 2007 / The lifeboat is just leaving the safety of Newhaven Harbour I was on the Beach at Seaford Sailing Club some 2km away from the action. Camera Panasonic fz50 / 100 iso / f4 1/160th sec / full zoom 420mm These guys have my upmost respect / They are all volunteers, they do not get paid.

Newhaven Lighthouse / Sussex For the 3rd weekend in the last 4, we have been hit by severe storms. / From my house, I could see a glimmer of light out to the west . I jumped into the car and arrived at Newhaven Harbour 5 minutes later. Rather pleased with this image, as it was taken through driving rain & salt spray.
