  • The phonograph, or gramophone, was the most common device for playing recorded sound from the 1870s through the 1980s. They continue to be manufactured and sold into the 21st century, although in small numbers. While there are many audiophiles who still prefer vinyl records over digital music sources (primarily compact disc) for their perceived fidelity, they represent an enthusiastic minority of listeners. The quality of the available record players, tonearms, and cartridges has continued to improve, despite a diminishing market.

  • This image came to me in a dream and a few months later in a meditation a few months before the year 2000. So I decided I would do a painting of what I had “seen”. It represents or expresses the merging of the finite with the Infinite. / This painting symbolises the emergence of the Goddess or Feminine archetype of mercy, compassion, wisdom and love. It expresses how the world’s known Truths are being made known again. The Feminine archetype which is now encircling our world, fully aligns herself with the masculine order (represented by the vertical columns), bringing balance and harmony, and breathing into it Soul, understanding and unconditional love. The symbology throughout the painting represents the “weaving” together of strength and vulnerability, passion and discipline, pragmatism and intuition, the masculine with the feminine, all conjoining together as part of our essence and expression. The passing of the Age of Pisces is symbolised by the water below the columns. The Age of Aquarius is symbolised by the Cosmos, planets and stars (Higher Mind balanced with Heart) The Temple (which includes the body) is symbolic of Spiritual striving and attainment, it reflects the Universe as a whole.

  • Attributes of Turtle: Self contained, protection, and creative source. Turtle represents Mother Earth, informed decisions, planning and adaptability…can awaken the senses on both the physical and spiritual level. Perceiving, inner knowledge. As you can see, Turtle represents powerful medicine.

  • The writing is on the wall – if you can see it, you can’t read it. I passed this sculpture so many times. You have to. It is made of stainless steel and placed in one of the busiest Wellington streets, in the perfect position to capture the colorful lights of the city after daylight, the nightglow of the capital. The ‘Invisible City’, as it’s called, is the gigantic panel of Braille text that highlights the communication gap between those who can’t see and the rest of us. The post is designed to remember all the folks, my countrymen and yours, the often invisible part of society, all those who finish schools, who work, play music, do sports, pay taxes, have and raise children, to the benefit of us all.

  • Atsá
    by Sena

Atsá (Diné [Navajo] word for eagle). Eagle, the master of the sky, is considered a carrier of prayers. Many Indian Nations honor this bird as possessing courage, wisdom, and a special connection to the creator. This is often confused with the “thunderbird” image concept. Eagle is also a Directional Protector(the Sky) spirit, and an image associated with spirits and visions. / My depiction represents three Bald Eagles circling about the Sun, here symbolized by the sacred Zia (Zia Pueblo word for ‘Sun’). Its rays marking the four directions; in the year, with its four seasons; in the day, with the sunrise, noon, evening, and night; in life, with its four divisions—childhood, youth, manhood, and old age. Everything is bound together in a circle of life and love, without beginning, without end.

  • Zia
    by Sena

Zia Keresean (language of the Zia Pueblo [and other Keres pueblos] in New Mexico) for Sun. New Mexico’s distinctive insignia is the Zia (Sun) Symbol, which originated with the Indians of Zia Pueblo (north central New Mexico) in ancient times. Its design reflects their tribal philosophy, with its wealth of pantheistic spiritualism teaching the basic harmony of all things in the universe. Four is the sacred number of Zia, and the figure is composed of a circle from which four points radiate. These points made up of four straight lines of varying length personify the number most often used by the Giver of all good gifts. To the Zia Indian, the sacred number is embodied in the earth, with its four directions; in the year, with its four seasons; in the day, with the sunrise, noon, evening, and night; in life, with its four divisions—childhood, youth, manhood, and old age. Everything is bound together in a circle of life and love, without beginning, without end. The Zia believe, too, that in this great brotherhood of all things, man has four sacred obligations: he must develop a strong body, a clear mind, a pure spirit, and a devotion to the welfare of his people. This is the symbol which adorns the flag of New Mexico.

  • Wolf protects the mysteries of renewal and creation – and teaches us the truths associated with them.

  • According to some Native traditions, the Elk symbolizes endurance or stamina. Bull Elk is a powerfully masculine spirit. The New Moon and Venus in this position are symbolic of the High Priestess in the Tarot deck. The most potent of feminine portents. They seem to me a perfect combination of male-female balance and harmony. / In my interpretation, the placement of Venus between (above, yet behind) the antlers of Standing Elk represents fertility. The Moon, in virtually all traditions is a representation of romantic love …. New Moon, a glowing bowl to hold the abundance of Creation. The marriage of Earth and Heaven. • Metatron’s Magick Wheel; a fractal flame created with Apophysis and embellished in Photoshop to add Metatron’s Cube in the center as to echo the surrounding shapes. / What can i say about this fractal print… I love it! / Within it I see a host of geometric shapes & ancient symbology. Play ‘connect the dots’ with this image and see circles, Metatron’s Cube, the Fruit of Life, 12 around 1, the Vesica Piscis, a quincunx, the Dharmacakra & Sri Chakra or Shri Yantra, the Star of David, a celtic cross, platonic solids & polyhedrons , a star tetrahedron or Merkaba, suns, eggs, and more- perhaps even a 4 leaf clover. It also reminds me of mandalas or the Bhavacakra, alchemy wheels, Zodiac or astrology wheels, the Tarot wheel of fortune, or a medicine wheel. Besides for the more esoteric or subtle possible interpretations, this abstract fractal flame art print aesthetically shows the wonderful recursive nature of fractal geometry; One image repeating itself into infinity, with each successive repeating generation of the image being slightly different, or angled & stretched in varied ways. • Eagle medicine is the power of the Great Spirit. Eagles teach personal power, healing, and wisdom. Eagles are gifted with clear vision to truly see the things one sees. Within the belief systems of North American tribes, Eagle represents a state of grace achieved through hard work, understanding, and a completion of the tests of initiation which result in the taking of one’s personal power. It is only through the trial of experiencing the lows in life as well as the highs, and through the trial of trusting one’s connection to the Great Spirit, that the right to use the essence of Eagle medicine is earned. Eagles are the primary servant of Sun and protect against evil.
