This was taken late 06 on a south bound snow mission in new zealand, it was blowing 90+km wind, my friend would not get out of the car, so i had to put my tripod hard up agaisnt me and hang on!!!!.....................hard work pays off eh??!!....

The ‘hair’ is from a piece of jewellery, and the lips are from a picture of elizabeth taylor! I enjoy the idea that I’ve turned Liz into a robot, and made mona look a bit cheeky…

Evening at Dingboche with new moon and fresh snow on Ama Dablam, Nepal. This was such a magical experience. I am sharing this image that my husband Wayne took many years ago that’s been scanned from a print. / In 1992 we had an incredible snow fall which left many sheep stranded in the high country and needed to be rescued. / In New Zealand it’s known as Snow Raking – combing the hills looking for stranded stock, freeing them and standing them up (when they lie down they get frozen in place), then stamping a track down to lower slopes where they can be fed. Since we are in our autumn/winter season I’ve uploaded this for interest.
