  • This is one of those times I would love to have a video camera sitting taping the opening of this beautiful flower so I could watch it in fast forward as it opens up to all it’s glory…

  • The koru is often used in Maori art as a symbol of creation. / The koru shape is a scroll shape and is linked to the New Zealand fern. The shoot of the fern has a curled-over tip which unfurls and becomes a fern leaf. “The koru reaches toward the light, striving for perfection, encouraging new positive beginnings…. / The koru represents the unfolding of new life, that everything is reborn and continues. It represents renewal and hope for the future. / Spiral, geometry of life, sacred creation….” from : Aotearoa.co.nz / /

  • Happy New Years my dear lets take this time to kiss! I remember the first time that we held hands I thought that that was bliss! / And then I put my arm round you and felt you come real close, and then I saw the goose bums come around and down your throat! / I think that moment was for me the high light of my day to know that I had touched someone in a special way! / And when we sat in the park and watched the fireworks you leaned on me and held my arm that was what broke my heart! / And then I leaned in close to you and said I love you too! / That was just a few short years ago I think maybe twenty two, but damn those years just flew away as if it were just two! / So here we are on our anniversary the 1st of the New Year and as you lean in close to me you give me goose bumps too!

  • Canon EOS 350D Canon lens 40mm 1/80sec F6,3 ISO-400 / Made March 18, 2008 at The OrchidsFarm, Luttelgeest, The Netherlands, Europe / A fern is any one of a group of about 20,000 species of plants classified in the phylum or division Pteridophyta, also known as Filicophyta. The group is also referred to as Polypodiophyta, or Polypodiopsida when treated as a subdivision of tracheophyta (vascular plants). The study of ferns and other pteridophytes is called pteridology, and one who studies ferns and other pteridophytes is called a pteridologist. The term “pteridophyte” has traditionally been used to describe all seedless vascular plants, making it synonymous with “ferns and fern allies”. This can be confusing since members of the fern phylum Pteridophyta are also sometimes referred to as pteridophytes. / / / New Curlings of a Fern / / / New Curlings of a Fern / / / New Curlings of a Fern /
