This feather may be small and understated but it has a kind of gentle charm that I liked. I noticed this hat in a beautiful house truck I was looking through recently. I visited the North Island of New Zealand in Febuary 2009 and was lucky enough to get out for a dive to the Poor Knights Islands. Famous for its good sport fishing and even better scuba diving ever since they declared this area a marine park. This is a heavily processed image I captured of two divers descending over a patch of rocky reef Diving was done with Yukon Charters, Tutukaka.

Envisage this: the soft drawn out keening of stringed instuments – an empty boat floats gently alone, water slapping quietly at the sides – why is it so quiet , dark and misty – where are the people? ................................... Featured in “Out of the Past” group.
The native New Zealand Cordyline Australis aka Cabbage Tree and having the maori name of Te Tii. Named Cabbage Tree because the soft heart at the base of the leaves is reminiscent of cabbage. I’ve tried it and its much nicer than cabbage. This tree is actually a gigantic member of the dracaena family. / This photo has been given a single photo psuedo hdr treatment then layered with a grain merge texture. / Panasonic Lumix FZ5
Water drops on a rose petal. Cropped and levels slightly adjusted to give better contrast. If you look closely you’ll notice this is not a black and white photo, it is a colour shot. :) Canon Powershot A480 point and shoot, hand held. Proudly New Zealand Made.
