Time Travel 24×36 Acrylic. I love hearing what people see in my surrealism. Don’t ask me what it means,, I have no clue,,LOL!
My apologies for having no originality in flower choice but as you can see, I love my plain old dandelions! Anyway, in this image there are 3 stages of flower from the same plant, the bud, the flower and the post-flower fairy which to me are like 3 generations. I chose the layers and treatment to reflect all 3 generations by being aged yet still bright and not faded. / Have sold 1 x laminated print.

I Love this work,I had so much fun creating this art work , we all have been a FOOL or know some one who is a FOOL in our life time. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Rhana Griffin / wrote a great Poem also called the FOOL , I love it and goes very well with this art work . / , Thank you Rhana , please do visit her site to see more of her work. / THE FOOL In the corner sits a fool, / her head, once held so high / now hangs between her knees / as hot tears of shame / fall silently to / drip onto her feet. In the corner sits a fool / her golden locks, / once tossed in confidence / now fall victim / to the rough hacking of the / shears held in her hands. In the corner sits a fool / the flowers of praise / once heaped upon her / now lie dead, turning to dust / borne away on the winds / of her own self disgust. In the corner sits a fool / her fine raiment / once worn so proudly / now ripped to shreds / by the talons of the many / whose den she accidently stumbled upon. In the corner sits a girl / broken but… / never beaten, / who belatedly realises / she has been played for a / fool Her tears now spent, / she raises her head defiantly, / fixes a baleful stare / upon the cause of her suffering / and whispers… / never again
acrylic on paper 14”x17” / Dancing in lighted pools of Jello-textured neon. “That’s the way to do it,” an old stranger called to the young man who, being suddenly aware of what he was doing, stopped, looked over his shoulder and glanced down at the ragged multi-colored sheet that was pulled tightly around his shoulders. He leaned back and peered up at the sun. Smoke rose from the side of a brick building and the odor or ginger floated through the air. The source of both puzzled him, as he remembered distinctly thinking he was the only person in the world just a few moments before. The old man smiled a toothless smear of flabby lips and bowed down to the dancing youth, who smiled back, jiggled aimlessly for a few seconds on thin, scratched legs and then sat down on a patch of grass in from of a building that had been painted by clowns. The young man pulled back the corner of his gown of rainbow hues and let out his heart, which had been beating all along, but in being freed, started to do a dance all of its own, though it had no legs. It also sang, which surprised the young man as he had always thought he was mute.
Ive never tried something like this before. Never an artwork emotionally so intense. Would love to thank sandra baraci for the wonderful collab. She has been painting the stunning image of `tracie76 portrait for a while now, which she abandoned in the middle. I really wanted to complete it in my form, and I did. / She says she found the motivation back again to finish the canvas, which is an honour . Thankyou both of you for the wonderful experience.

This watercolor by artist Paul Jackson captures 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan on a rainy day. The pelican stopped for a quick “Detour” on it’s way to the Fulton Fish Market. Completed in 2008, this 22” X 36” painting is part of the Paul Jackson New York watercolor series. Detour won The Margery Soroka Memorial Award from the American Watercolor Society.
A simple sidewalk in New York becomes a reflective kaleidoscope of color after a rain shower. This 22” X 30” watercolor by Paul Jackson is a perfect example of his artist’s eye, finding the extraordinary in the everyday and his mastery of color and composition. The painting one of a series by the artist featuring New York City.
New American Landscape Gargoyles ugly, dark, and looming; / Overlook the erstwhile blooming landscape, / desolate now, but fresh in memory. Giants in the garden Eden. Gothic, no, Americana, barely eaten; / Taken by surprise and sorely beaten shed / no tear, for fear of giants. Giants in the garden Eden. Whilst whole countries stand by watching; / Giants o’er their landscape trodding, claiming / grain and livestock pools from nature. Giants shade the garden Eden. A single voice wails mad with fury; / Counts backwards, bent, and bleary-eyed; / And yells, “You don’t own nature”! Giants left the garden Eden. / - F.A. / / Original pencil drawing on Aquarelle Arches paper 56×76cm / Drawing 15 hours/painting 12 hours = 27 hours total A digitally painted hand drawn artwork… the inspiration for this is “Meeting Places”... As a child one of the most frequent things we did together as a family was to attend church on Sundays, I went to a Catholic School and the church I remember best was St Agnes’ at Port Macquarie… the nuns would come over for morning tea sometimes, and the priests would come for dinner occasionally…they were the days of fun parish picnics and life that wasn’t so hurried..when we took time to socialise, meeting and enjoying one another’s company. Mum was/is a great cook and host…and although this picture isn’t authentic as a portrait of her and myself…it’s representative. It’s also representative of new life and hope for the future, as the mother figure is with child….. and the child herself nurtures the wildlife…perhaps she is taking them to church for a blessing… perhaps the joey has lost his mother and needs nursing til he can fend for himself. The kookaburra is all seeing and all knowing….. the wise overseer of the bush… in this case, he stands in as the owl figure.
