This is a sample of conflict between language processing and visual processing. The object is to try and say the colour of the word, NOT read the word. Go as fast as you can – it’s not as easy as you think! This effect was first identified in the 1930s by J.Ridley Stroop and in his honour is named the “Stroop Effect”. Even now the exact neurological basis of the effect is unclear.

Link I got my copy of the mag yesterday 24/12/09.. and I’m impressed by the quality of this publication. Our work has been featured with sleep related works by some of the greats.. Picasso,Lucian Freud,Arthur Rackham,Bruegel. Its great to be placed in such illustrious company. I was a bit concerned that this might not be a good quality mag.. but / the magazine is a high quality glossy magazine.. with great scientific and art imagery littering its pages. and is clearly aimed at top neuoro scienstists worldwide. / / Here is a not very good scan of my image featured with the main editorial / Link
