Photograph “to see a video of Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole” CLICK This is a photograph I took of my youngest daughter. When my daughters were younger, we used to tell Faery stories at bed time and take turns adding to the story. The stories were very long and often times they would be very revealing, these were happy memories for us so…….. I wanted to capture what one of those characters might have looked like, she was a Tree Faery and her hair was a birds nest, egg included.

I was watching a bald eagle nest in Ladner, BC, Canada, which is just south of Vancouver. The adults were coming and going at intervals. This image shows the female returning to the nest, and just about to land on a branch. The nest is to the right of the picture. The image was captured using a Nikon D2Xs camera with a 600mm lens and 1.4 teleconverter mounted on a tripod.

This was taken at The Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, FL. While walking the zoo, I noticed a lot of noise in a tree along the walkway. It was a mother Snowy Egret and her two little ones. It is finally spring time after a long, cold, hard Southern California winter. And the birds and the bees tell us so. Well, I don’t have evidence of the bees, but I do of the birds. And if you don’t think this is a macro then you have not seen a Hummingbird nest.
