Schrödinger’s cat is a thought experiment, often described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935. It illustrates what he saw as the problem of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics being applied to everyday objects. I recently watched IT Crowd S3 and as a homage to this great show decided to create this design. This design was also a tribute to my other IT Crowd Shirt selling 80 copies. Thank-you everyone for your support. I made this design by taking screenshots of the intro of the IT Crowd and then printing them out. I had to work up the courage to post this. It took me three days to create: 5 fractals, 3 photo images, and 2 digital paintings all layered. If it were made of real paint, I’d be drenched and this room I’m in would look like the color wheel blew up. Last night I loved the piece too much; this morning I changed it and I love it “enough.” / I’m discovering that loving an image too much means that I can’t see it for what it is…..and isn’t. I can’t assess its completeness or its direction or its readiness to face the world. Now it’s done. I love it enough to accept it and stand behind it. It’s part of me today, not more than what I am. Anyway, I love thinking about wormholes and trying to see them in my mind. And sometimes I imagine how things would be if two of them gently collided, trying to occupy the same “place” at one time. I like to think they’d say “Oh, excuse me!” and then become good neighbors. /
