  • A collage of Skipping Girl taken from a photo I took of a non working neon sign. It’s a great melbourne icon located in Victoria Street and as it doesn’t work I decided to re-inject the colour back into it. This is part of a series of works based around this very cool little sign.

  • I did this when I was teaching youth-at-risk and got my students to ‘tag’ it. / It’s about how young people are dazzled by the lights then end up in the back alleys. Our program was to guide them in a positive manner through ART then take their discipline, confidence, talent, skills aquired to finishing what they left behind or lost. Majority who finished the course of 8 months went on to finsih their high school, entered Unversity or some college. These were tough street ‘kids’ who had talent in Art but never realized what they had; something that made them special and unique.

  • The storm had passed and the colors in the sunset sky reassured me that the weather tomorrow would be a big improvement over the turbulent day that was just ending. This photo was taken just after sunset with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L telephoto zoom lens @ 200mm. The shutter speed was 1/350th sec at f/8. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release. Your comments are always welcome!
