Old barn with a new look. A BIG Thank-You goes to Kimberly Palmer for giving this old barn a new look. The county wants to tear this barn down. They claim it is an eye-sore… so sad. It has so much character!

This was another of those surprises you come across when walking with out your camera and I was lucky enough to live around the corner from this dead end and even got lost trying to get back to here to take this photo after making a right instead of a left ! Venice with its winding alleys can throw you off for a long time even after many trip down the same alley! The lighting seems to always give a different perspective to a street you have seen dozens of time!

I didn’t know what I had started / My home was invaded / Like waters uncharted / I had to find something new / Or I would end up broken hearted / On my computer I made / An image that would spark a flame / Creative energy struck through my house / The children all passed the mouse / One by one the sections were done / Different worlds created just for fun / A masterpiece began to appear / Even their parents wanted to volunteer / Adding everyone’s artist flare / Turning into a neighborhood affair / I printed one out / Then another was asked for / One by one / Down our street / This image is hanging on every wall / A connection from one to all / I hope you enjoy it / But I have to admit / More than just art / This is an example of community spirit!!

Several times a year the Green Valley (Arizona) Camera Club tours Tucson’s Barrio Viejo and adjacent areas. The area is always changing with old homes being renovated and new construction that looks old being built. The colors are amazing! This welcoming patio is part of a B&B. Lake Kochelsee and German Alps. / I live here, this lake belongs to my community / village (1 km from my home). / I come (by foot) almost once weekly for a walk to this coast / shoreline of the lake, relaxing a bit, enjoying nature, and mostly taking some photos.
