  • This office has definitely seen better days, right on the outer edge of a derelict office in a particularly rough part of the town it is in, the windows have been smashed here and the plants and elements have not waited to get in there through the handy holes provided.

  • Minnie is was a ” throw away” cat. She was declawed by her former owners, and then at some point discarded like trash and left on the streets. We saved her from the jaws of two loose dogs, and took her in less than a year ago. She survived the attack and healed. / Our other cats pick on Minnie, so she needs to spend her nights in our enclosed patio, where they can’t get to her. ( We live in South Florida ) / One night a few weeks ago something, or someone, got her from the patio. The next day she was found in my neighbor’s bushes with a broken leg. She is recovering with the help and love of many friends all over the world. Thank you Minnie’s Angels! Now Minnie is a Keeper!!! XXXX

Come o’er the sea, / Maiden with me, / Mine through sunshine, storm, and snows; / Seasons may roll, / But the true soul / Burns the same, where’er it goes. / Let fate frown on, so we love and part not; / ‘Tis life where thou art, ‘tis death were thou are not. / Then come o’er the sea, / Maiden with me, / Come wherever the wild wind blows; / Seasons may roll, / But the true soul / Burns the same, where’er it goes. • A badly needed overhaul - groups

So this week we’ve been thinking about groups. The way I like to update the site is to think, dabble a bit, then pull back and think again. We’ve done some early thinking and dabbling about a new group overview page and now it’s time to pull back to test our thinking – and I’d like your feedback. Here’s my thinking. The groups page should be designed for the members of RedBubble – for people who are active contributors to the site. The aim of a group is to create a space for a smaller collection of people united by a common interest to hang out and share their interest. To do this a group should have a forum; a way for hosts to communicate and when navigating work in a group you should stay in the group context. I also think we should equip groups with more promotional tools – I can see some groups wanting to coordinate a sales effort so I’m partial to the idea of a group BubbleSite (as an example). I think the group overview page should: / - Be visually attractive; / - Highlight the work in the group; / - Show important group messages (i.e. group news); / - Highlight activity in the group / - Make it easy to find the recent activity in a group; And here you can our early dabbling (not tested in IE). So a few questions: What’s important to you with groups? / What’s missing the most right now? / How do you use groups and how would you like to use them? Cheers, Peter

  • Pujji loves to play soccer, as you can see in another photo here called Soccer Dog Headers. We play every weekday, and she’ll bring the ball to the feet of EVERYONE who comes to the park. She’ll insist you kick the ball by yelling out “kick the ball! Kick the ball NOW!”. To the untrained, it sounds like “bark bark, woof woof”. She’ll bring the ball to anyone in preference to me, cos she gets bored just playing with me. If there’s no-one in the park, she’s constantly looking for someone new to play with. Her tail wags the whole time, until I tell her we have to “go home”. Of course, then she needs a drink! The proceeds of all sales go to World Vision, an organisation dedicated to looking after children in Third World countries. Check out my metal sculpture on www.twistedirony.com.

  • THE PROMISE / Best viewed large. / / The Frenchman Joseph Permet-Ducher is credited with the first discovery of yellow roses around the 18th century. After approximately 20 years of attempting to breed a hearty yellow rose and “THE PROMISE” to create one, Joseph stumbled upon a mutant yellow rose in a field. With this specimen, he was able to duplicate its structure and create the first yellow roses! / / A beautiful interpretation of yellow roses is the notion of renewal; yellow roses are a perfect way to apologize and to make amends. A bouquet of yellow roses reflects calm contentment, undying love, and comfort. Yellow roses tell a spouse or partner that you value them everyday and that you see them as the fulfillment of your needs. This flower and color are aptly associated with wedding anniversaries, especially for the fifteenth year of marriage. / / Nothing conveys real love, companionship, renewal, reconciliation, and friendship quite like yellow roses. These flowers stand alone in their meanings and serve a beautiful purpose for communicating messages of hope and “THE PROMISE” of love with the utmost sincerity. / BETTE MIDLER:THE ROSE Some say love, it is a river / that drowns the tender reed. / Some say love, it is a razor / that leaves your soul to bleed. / Some say love, it is a hunger, / an endless aching need. / I say love, it is a flower, / and you it’s only seed. It’s the heart afraid of breaking / that never learns to dance. / It’s the dream afraid of waking / that never takes the chance. / It’s the one who won’t be taken, / who cannot seem to give, / and the soul afraid of dyin’ / that never learns to live. When the night has been too lonely / and the road has been to long, / and you think that love is only / for the lucky and the strong, / just remember in the winter / far beneath the winter snows / lies the seed that with the sun’s love / in the spring becomes the rose. Photo taken with my Canon EOS 40D camera.

  • What would you do, if you didn’t have God, or know Him, in a personal way? We know that each day He provides for us, even if we are down, to “nothing”.. He promised to see us through it, and many miracles of His provision have been given to me through out my life. Even in Scripture we read of so many occaisions of His grace and provision! How kind, and gracious, even to an un thankful Nation! The last church… is Laodicea, and it had gotten so apostate that it’s motto was, “we are enriched and increased with goods, and in need of NOTHING!! Not even God! How the mighty fall! Fearing that is just about where WE are, as a nation, I pray that people will realize their need for a Savior.. and our nation will be saved from the worst disaster that has ever been known, here. Satan fell because of his pride….the “wrong” kind of pride.. that says… I want it.. MY way! I am my OWN god. / Well, I KNOW I can’t be MY own god, I NEED a Savior.. and my life is full of blessings, and answers to prayers! Yet, tomorrow is another day, and I will need NEW Manna from heaven! Thank you Lord for today’s cup, as it was a FULL cup… and “I” am grateful! /
