Hey Everyone! Hows tricks? thanks for reading! Yes i have read a few forums that have somewhat addressed the issue of extending the range available to RedBubble customers, but I have only read forums requesting more options for ladies tees, which I totally agree needs to happen, personally I am a fan of American Apparel™’s Sheer Jersey Girly T w/ Merrow™ Hem. So I am here calling out to all who enjoy a bit more range and diversity when it comes to custom T design. CLICK HERE FOR SAMPLES! (All images property of American Apparel™) These are very basic mockups of potential cuts available from American Apparel™ right now. Contemporary fashion has seen a shift in trend towards the V-neck, largely seen now as a fashionable unisex option whereas in the past it catered more to women’s fashion. Massive in the club scene right now, I believe RedBubble should be capitalising on this trend right now and therefore expanding it’s potential market to the trendy hipsters of the inner city club scene. On another note, diversity and range of customisation is a very desirable option to the fashion-conscience RedBubble customer as it allows for a more individual and personalised product. Comfort also seems to be an issue as some customers of mine have had small gripes about the shirts being too tight around the neck. The V-neck options I have supplied here offer a more comfortable fit for such customers. In terms of co-ordination, the v-neck accompanied by a v-neck cardigan is a very fashionable option. The purpose of this journal entry is simply to generate interest and give those like-minded members of RedBubble a place to voice their opinions and campaign to expand RedBubble’s range of cuts for a wider audience. I feel at this point I must take the time to say that RedBubble offer an extremely efficient service and deliver a consistently high quality product. The printing quality never ceases to amaze, complete strangers always comment on my shirts whenever I am out and about in the city. Customers who I know personally have also commented on the high quality of service that RedBubble offer. Thank you again for reading, all comments and opinions are welcome! Cheers, Billmund. x!

Went to see my physio yesterday to find out what was wrong with my neck/shoulder. He advised me i have twanged(his words) my neck muscle on the right side which is causing me lots of pain. he worked his magic but said it will take a few days for it to get better. I woke this morning still feeling very sore, I will go to work today but wont be doing anything to hard. I have to go back and see the physio on friday. I have some excercises to do and a heat pack to put on my neck to help relieve the pain. What is worse is he said that i could have hurt my neck by just doing my job which involves a lot of working at a desk doing paperwork and computer work. and then just moved the wrong way during the night and that just made it twang. You forget how much you rely on being able to turn your head, especially when driving a car.

This Monday I woke up with a neck pain. / / As usual, I left home at 5: 17 AM to go to work. It was so dark for a summer day. / The sky was covered / By leas of thin clouds that vanished the early sun light. I arrived at the Burrard / Sky train station at the same time as usual 5: 30 AM and met the same people standing / In front of the gate. For this time the gate was not open at 5: 30 AM / It will open at 7: 45, a man noticed after reading a note posted on the wall beside the gate / That will make me terribly late. I work part time for an e-company based in UK while I am in Canada. I called to say I will / Not in today and decided to take a sea walk along the Coal Harbor, my neiborghood area / Not far from where I live in Broughton Street. A peaceful atmosphere reigned around the park beside the beach. Immobile. The sea – planes slowly cadenced / Over the ocean waves / And gave me a glance of freedom. A dark skin homeless found a refuge under a bench. Not so far I met another dark skin man; an East Indian who had his hand in a prayer mudra and bowed me by bending is head I returned him his bow with a right hand‘s mudra gesture at the heart chakra level / And followed the sea walk shore, until I reached the artificial lake on Stanley Park. The early morning light blessed the trees with its clear and soft pixels. I contemplated their shapes, majestic splendor, and recited the psalm 1st. Even I felt a Zen moment. I continued my promenade until I reach the ocean again. The Feeling from an empty beach early in the morning, gave me a great pleasure. The ocean waves stayed far away from the beach. I walked over sea reeds and contemplated the under sea vegetations for at least one mile, the bubble sea reeds crunched under my shoes. / I felt dizzy. I walked over stones and stopped beside a cavity, a sort of swimming pool of one meter diameter, where organic lives created a mini sight. I felt a strong energy / emerged from that small hold hewed by time. I passed a few minutes there; / perhaps 15 in total contemplated the stones covered by sea weeds. Calm waves voyaged through their / Lower fissure like a sneak. I took some pictures with my cell phone camera. The light wasn’t that great. I let my eyes gazed at the beauty around and etched them into my visual cortex. I went back to the beach and draw over the sands three small circles of two meters diameters facing the ocean and left the wood stick beside one of them. I did not scrutinize at them and walked until I reached the stone valley, two miles from there. Centimeter by centimeters, I investigated around the topo to collect good small stones. It was around 6: 30 am when I found two perfect stones, a pyramidal one and the other like a crocodile egg. It was a fabulous moment / with peace and waves’ punctuated / by bird sounds / not that strong / but enough to evoke a dream state. / I tried to take some pictures again and couldn’t. I walked from there to home / with a strong peaceful feeling in mind. Roland Bastien /

I picked up a Tamrac N5057 “Boomerang” Neck strap the other day to use with my new 50D, And what a difference it makes! It’s so much better then the stock straps I’ve been using all these years! And with mine, You have the added benefit of quick release clips, So you can take the strap off when you don’t need it (Eg. Working on a tripod) And it also has two memory card holders! The strap is nice and padded, And is made of wetsuit material, And is easy to wash, And is waterproof. The strap is nice and wide, And is shaped to fit around your neck nicely, And is also comfortable over your shoulder. I got mine from a local camera store for $30, And it’s well worth the money!! Here is a pic of the strap:

  • Touch Me Calendar
    by Alexander Edwards

Here it is. My first ever exhibit will happen in Janua…

Here it is. My first ever exhibit will happen in January 09. I’ll be exhibiting the Touch Me series. This is part of the reason why so far none of the images have been for sale in any form until now. Partly because I need help funding the prints for the exhibit. Each calendar will pay for one print to be hung on the wall. But please don’t think I will be charging a heap for the prints and rolling around in the profits. This whole project is non-profit and I will be pricing the prints to recover costs and provide some money to my very helpful models – who so far have worked for nothing. So please know that if you buy one of these you’re getting art on your wall that was made with much love. And that in buying one you have made more than one person very happy to be able to continue doing what they love.

  • Oh My Aching Neck
    by Tim Denny

Oh my aching neck is right. Whether you are new to the art of ptohography or have been photographing images most all you life, who has no…

Oh my aching neck is right. Whether you are new to the art of ptohography or have been photographing images most all you life, who has not encountered a aching neck from carrying your camera around. I have been into photography since I was a teenager, if the camera i was carrying had a hand strap my hand got tired after awhile, If I carried it around my wrist then my wrist got tired after some time. If the camera I was carrying had a neck strap my neck got tired so I would wrap the neck strap around my hand until my hand got tired then I would hang the camera back around my neck, and the story goes on and on. Over the years I have purchased many different kinds of neck straps hoping to find just the right one to give me some kind of comfort while I was out in the field. Shooting photos indoors is no problem, but carry a camera around your neck outdoors at a Zoo or even Disney World is a totally different story to say the least, try it and you will have a “Aching Neck” I have so many different neck straps I could start my own business, the only problem with that is then others would have aching necks. Well, on the more serious side, there is a answer, beleive it or not. No!, this is not “Ripley’s Believe it or Not”, there really is a answer, finally. After over 50 years of taking photographs I have found the answer in the Cotton Carrier (See photo below) After seeing this great camera holder on a utube video I became very interested, immediately. I watched the video several times and got more interested each time. The only concern I had was I seen no way to use it with a tripod, there is a attachment that goes on the bottom of your camera to attach your camera to the Cotton Carrier, but when this was attached there seemed like no way to put your camera on yur tripod / mono pod. / In a few days the manufacturer added a video on their site covering how to use the Cotton Carrier with a tripod. If you are interested in seeing the Cotton Carrier in action please go to “Cotton Carrier System” on the Internet and watch the video. I purchased one and I am 100% converted over to the Cotton Carrier, I recommend it highly. / My first field use with the carrier was on August 6, 09 when my son Scott and I went on a 4 day shooting in Upper Michigan. / My first outing was for about 2 huors, we then made several stops totalling about 3 hours. / The results after several hours of usage? NO ACHING NECK, no, not whatsoever, nothing. Your camera sits on your chest, and that is the onlt place you feel any weight. The weight is evenly distributed. You feel the carrier strapped on your body, but the only weight is on your chest. There is absolutely no more swinging camera from side to side as you walk, there is absolutely no more swinging camera in your face when you bend over forward, all gone, 100%, all gone. I kept telling my son that I was totaly sold on this carrier, I surely had to tell him this a half dozen times or so over our 4 day shooting. / He had to be very impressed because a couple days after we got back home he told me he ordered his Cotton Carrier. / I offered for him to try it, but he did not have the right attachment for his camera, no need, he got convinced after seeing it in action. I could go on giving you all the details on the Cotton Carrier and attachments, but this journal would be more lenghly then it is now. I highly recommend you at the very least go to the site and view the holder for yourself, I am very sure you will find the Cotton Carrier very interesting, if not convinced yourself. The carrier sells for about $150. and comes with a second holder to allow you to carry a second camera body which you will see demonstrated on the video. Thank you for reading “Oh My Aching Neck” NO, Not Any More Thanks again / Tim Denny
