Their search for new worlds had been long and arduous but they were relentless. Finally after many, many parsecs their scanners had revealed an apparent habitable planet, yet uncertainty prevailed amongst the crews. / Will it be home? Created in Bryce #D (planets, nebulae, space stations) and Photoshop (stars and overlays). It involved some 34 layers in mainly in lighten, color and overlay modes of varying degrees.

We bought a few beautiful shells while on Rhodes island, Greece and today being a wonderful bank holiday (yes – Saturday!!!) I took the opportunity to toy around with them a little. I really love mother-of-pearl – it is yet another example of nature´s magic for me. / I had the ISO setting at 800 so there is some graininess. I actually like the effect, eventhough it is in contrast to the perfect smoothness of the shell. I like the faintly romantic feel it gives. / / / /

By Jove! was the only remark recorded from the newly launched “City of London” on her way out of the system as she passed the planet Jupiter. Fitting really although maybe it should have been “Bye Jove”. To date 41 cities have launched successfully from the planet Earth. / Humanity found this is the best way to stay at home and explore the cosmos. / This way you CAN take it with you!!! In these hectic, turbulent, violent and worrisome times I would love to be able to travel to areas 74 (or 174) light years from Earth. Accompanied by the Tangerine Dream track Zeit / Planet created in Bryce 6 and the rest in Photoshop CS2.

There are many perils out there in space. This is one of them. A particularly dangerous beast. An Ymonoce worm. Voracious, tenacious, parasitic, artful, avaricious, mendacious . . . sorry I’ve gotten carried away with the adjectives to describe this creature that floats out there in space just waiting for unsuspecting space ships. If you see one just keep your distance. The greater the distance the better. Once they latch onto the hull your stuck. So beware. / This one was spotted out near the Recession Nebula. We managed to escape. / Created in Photoshop and “the creature” in Groboto.

Whichever planet you live on, in whatever galaxy, there’s nothing quite like the thoughts of spring. / Having lived a number of centuries on this ball you call Earth, I know most human thoughts turn to love. / But on my planet, spring means finding a new planet, a place where you can watch / a different sun set, or even watch a sun rise. For my race, spring means new beginnings, meeting new sentient species and yes’ watching the sun set from a new city. I found two or three but this one, WOW, its called Griveron, it lies on the edge of the Blue Nebula, the view with the two moons is really mind-blowing even to this Alien. Two alien craft manoeuvre in position for refuelling at, to our eyes, is yet another strange sight in space. It is fuel cloud. Established millennia ago by an unknown space travelling lifeform for the sole purpose of providing that all-important substance to keep that core working properly. These fuel clouds, unfortunately, are only to be found in these parts and are a sight for sore eyes if you find yourself in urgent need for fuel. Oh and by the way the third craft was a Earth Corp freighter carrying water back to some very dry parts of Earth. / This visual was despatched some twelve Earth years ago and has only been cleared. Location – five million kilometres from the Double Spiral Nebula in Thirtieth System. / Created in Bryce 6, Groboto and Photoshop.

Through the centuries beings of many worlds have searched in vain for the Seven Cities of Gold. / On the planet Earth Francisco Vásquez de Coronado searched his world to no avail. In my dream I walk through a doorway/portal to a strange landscape, it is so surreal. I am in another place, another when, beyond this Earth, I feel I am at the very end of time, I am searching, searching…..... I am searching fo…...........and then I wake, but still for a little time I try to remember ….....but it fades and….is gone. Maybe in the next sleep cycle I will be presented with an answer. Battle group Delta X arriving at Szolanas Base, Sclar Galaxy, via the conduit. It can be a little rocky at times, the technology is still quite new. But by far the fastest route between galaxies.

Trying to outrun a Super Nova. To human eyes the ship seems to be going backwards. The “lit” front is really the “lit” back. The ship is powered by a quantinum drive, with a robot pilot who as no need to “see” whats ahead, it just knows.

I just never get tired of photographing this view, here in Titan City, it is fantastic with the city lights below Saturn, and the backdrop of the Milky Way. / They do say it is even more spectacular when viewed from the deck when sailing Titan’s methane seas. Maybe some day, but for now…..........................!
