So I recently returned back to one of my favorite sites to photograph. This is the Whalehead Hunt Club in Currituck, North Carolina. Currituck Lighthouse is also visible on the left. This particular morning was just beautiful, very rare to have hardly any wind coming across Currituck Sound. The reflection turned out awesome, in my opinion. Image has been processed through Redynamix for the HDR look and also had the Orton effect applied. Best viewed in large. / Image made with tripod mounted Nikon D200, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8, remote shutter release.

What can I say … Sometimes it all does come together perfect. I absolutely love how this turned out, hope you do as well. Image made with a Nikon D200 And Tokina 12-24mm lens. Slight touch of HDR post processing applied, converted to Sepia Tones in Adobe Digital Lightroom.

This shot was actually a “sunrise” on the Pamlico River (Beaufort County, NC) that I changed the hue around to resemble a night time photo. The black marks to the left of the sun are seagulls which show up well in an 8”x12” print. Canon 20D / Sigma 24-70 F2.8

The word Christ in Eastern terminology means the enlightened one, a vehicle of enlightenment it was not actually a part of the name of the man, that was called Jesus Christ. He was called Jesus Christ as he was Jesus, the man, who was enlightened and as such understood the energies, and therefore the process of life, in this world which is what sayings such as: “As you sow so shall you reap” and “As you give so shall you receive” and other such explanations referred to…the physics of the energies of this world. Enlightened, enlightenment basically means the understanding, the conscious awareness, of just being and living from the higher sense of the knowledge of self, the Higher Spirit which is directly linked to the Soul, the divine God essence of All, that is above the egocentric mind-set which creates animosities when emotions run high and reactions occur to the action of not thinking what is going through one’s mind…reacting in anger to a situation that has made you feel wronged or whatever instead of seeing the emotion for what it is…a bad feeling that urges one to create a drama in one’s life. Such unconscious awareness is a form of mental dysfunction (mental illness) and causes reactions such as segregation, wars, killing, jealousies, envies etc and pits nation against nation. It’s also the cause of the many problems, both past and present, that creates suffering. I have shown my depiction of the Christ lounging back and having a discussion with Mohammed, his brother in spirit and the other beings that are aware of the function of the energies who are ‘awake’. In the background there are faces behind a curtain of darkness that depicts they are close to awakening. The eagle represents an all seeing animal that transcends dimensions hence the white orb around it’s head like that of the main character being a representation of enlightenment. Some people who allow themselves to go through the door of death and travel in spiritual realms during rest can travel in the form of an eagle and take back the memory of what they witnessed during that journey of being a part of nature. This I believe is what the Ancient Egyptians were referring to in their hieroglyphics of human’s with eagle heads – they were, and are, usually high priests/priestesses of spiritual knowledge. The young girl at the feet of the main character represents one who sits at the feet of Christ, her mentor, and spiritual brother. The yin/yang sign depicts the balance of energies that is needed in the world of physicality for the energies to function with equilibrium within the Universal molecular structure. © C J Lewis, Sydney, 2008.

To have a good friend, take their hand… and walk on the beach. This is a story.. of best friends who happend to marry best friends who both have two year olds. The girl is my daughter Summer and her best of friends Matthew. Thank you Larissa for calling this to my attention. I have been away on vacation with limited internet access so I will be catching up soon. I just couldnt resist this shot as I was mulling through my picts of the week spent with friends and family. Taken in the Outer Banks of NC. WOW! Thank you all so much for the comments, and favs. This is a very special image to me. I’m thrilled so many others took the time to take a visit. I appreciate you all.

This is my favorite photo! I always remember the awful smell of the shad factory on the way to shackelford banks when I was a kid. I have wanted to photograph this place for while now and the other day was the moment, everything was just perfect. I took this one with my 20D standing in a 16’ boat with no tripod….bracketed 3 frames and merged them in photomatix.
