  • Golf course in Coaticook, Quebec. July 2005.

  • Fall colors in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. A few miles inside NC from Newfound Gap

  • An ancient bridge stretches over a stream and fenced path

  • Kingfishers are small unmistakable bright blue and orange birds of slow moving or still water. They fly rapidly, low over water, and hunt fish from riverside perches, occasionally hovering above the water’s surface. They are a vulnerable to hard winters and habitat degradation through pollution or unsympathetic management of watercourses.

  • Chapel bridge is a very old wooden plank bridge spanning Sugar Creek near Stockland, IL. perfectly reflected onto Sugar Creek. It is adjacent to the Sugar Creek Cemetery which is home to a scenic very old chapel from which it derives its name. The lore of this bridge is that it was constructed from a ferris wheel used at the World’s Fair in Chicago many, many years ago. Great place to fish! Taken with a Nikon Coolpix 5700. / Top 10 finisher in the “Stream Crossings” group “Reflections in the Stream” challenge / Sugar Creek Cemetery Chapel / / 423 views

  • Ardkinglas Woodland Garden

  • Another ‘I wish’ image! All images are taken by me, the woodland is not far from my sons school, I often disappear into there when it rains, I do not, however, dance around like a wood nymph! Thanks to the magic of photoshop, I can save myself that embarassment ;) View Larger! Again! Please thanks.. ta… :)

  • Little girl taken at home. Tiny fairy taken at home and created previously. New background, fairies, animals, birds and butterflies and fairy wings all added. Small fairies wings made from leaves. Larger fairies wings made from bees wings. Fairy in background, her wings were made from dragonfly wings. / Snail used with the kind permission of Edith Kangas. When this little girl saw this finished image, she said that she could feel the tingle in her hands from the little fairy. :) / Believe in the magic…....

  • Skelton woods, just down from the water fall. I like the light

  • A shy girl who fliters around the woodlands… I did this to try and re awaken my pencil art muse, and it worked really well. I was very pleased with the outcome.

  • Featured in The Woman Photographer 02.05.2009 / —what an honour! Thank you so very much :) Canon EOS 450D 18-55mm kit lens

  • One of the many ‘bluebell woods’ in England (this one is actually called ‘Shaw Wood’ and it is in South Wingfield, Derbyshire).

  • I love the shapes these trees and branches make. / Orton Effect, red/orange duotoned, and vignetted. Canon EOS 450D, 50mm f1.8 lens

  • Sophie Ellen Lachowycz

  • Moss from a beautiful forest walk we took whilst on holiday in France. Taken with a Canon EOS 450D / Shutter 1/80 / Aperture F5.6 / ISO 200 Playing around with my new toy – Lightroom 2.0 – crop and vignette applied

  • Digital artwork created for a WWF Numismatic envelope which can be found at: / http://www.wwfstamp.com/oxid.php/sid/9b1b46c5b80106301db3a7c6254bb713/cl/alist/cnid/6434677d3f0bb4f73.42955031 Everyone’s favourite woodland creature. / These adorable critters are very hard to find in the UK ( and possibly the rest of Europe) these days, their habitat having been taken over by the Grey Squirrel and of course, good old Homo Sapiens. They are a delight to watch if you are lucky enough to spot one. Greys are cute as well, but not in the same league as the Red. The Grey’s rather derogatory nickname of ‘Tree Rat’ is not far off the mark… / I couldn’t resist including the one in the background leaping across the other one’s tail. The kind of shot the photographer probably dreams about, but would probably never get.

  • Camera in hand, I’ve been out in the woods for early morning walks most days of late. Watching the sun rise and then heading into the forest and watching the gentle rays filtering through the trees … magic … :) Sometimes I encounter joggers, or cyclists, or as was the case this morning – folk taking their best friends for walks ;) / Witnessing those early morning moments is what’s given me balance for the longer than normal hours I’ve been working in the square mile of the city … contrast, that’s for sure :) / So I thought I’d share one or two shots and then saw that there are currently 55 free days on calendars here in the Bubble … – I think an Epping Forest Calendar might have to be created tonight! :) 26 September 2009 / Canon EOS 450D, f/22 @ 53 mm, 1/13, ISO 1600

  • Autumn stream ,water reflection.
