  • These are three different shots, one from each side and one from the front, showing the amazing clolour and patterns of the lady beetle (or bug as some may call it). This one was quite happy to pose for the shoot but eventally got tired of it and flew away!

  • Inspired by the religious art of my visit to Italy in December 2007, i was compelled to create the depiction of the spiritual battle that is happening in our world… every second of every day. Someone is in a battle manifested in countless forms. But there is life and with life there is always hope. ‘The Battle’ is symbolic of the journey and the challenges faced to reach freedom. After we have fought the good fight there will be victory and as we fall to our knees, we are drawn to the One… who has saved us. Take the messages as they come to you. The aim was to create a universal piece of art that speaks the language of the heart. This vector artwork is currently not for sale but if you are interested i’d love to hear from you.

  • A collage of the Sydney Flannel Flower.

  • This Nightjar is rarely seen but is relatively common along the entire East Coast of Australia. My neighbour is a volunteer wildlife carer for “WIRES” (Wildlife Information Rescue & Education Service Inc.) here in NSW and looked after this lovely bird when it was found with an injured wing. The carers for WIRES do an amazing job and pay out of their own pocket to feed and support the wildlife they look after. If I can, I would like to help these wonderful people by donating the proceeds of the sale of this card to assist them. • Image was taken at Banham zoological wildlife park Norfolk England UK The Sri Lanka leopard…. A recent study has shown that Yala National Park has one of the highest recorded densities of leopards in the world, although this animal is still considered to be endangered. The Wilpattu National Park in Sri Lanka is also known as a good place to watch leopards. Leopards tend to be more readily observed in parts of Sri Lanka than in other countries where they share their habitat with more dominant competitors, such as lions or hyaenas. Like most cats, the Sri Lanka leopard is pragmatic in its choice of diet which can include small mammals, birds, reptiles as well as larger animals. Axis or spotted deer make up the majority of its diet in the dry zone. The animal also preys on sambar, barking deer, wild boar and monkeys. The cat has been known to tackle almost fully grown buffalos. The leopard hunts like other leopards, silently stalking its prey until it is within striking distance where it unleashes a burst of speed to quickly pursue and pounce on its victim. The prey is usually dispatched with a single bite to the throat.

  • A week ago someone tried to “kill” this wonderful tree. He/she/they used a saw all around the stem. The tree is over 100 year old – so why do people do things like that. Don’t they have anything els to do during the night? But – this story has a happy end – the “tree doctor” has managed to save it – hopefully. In my portfolio I have different pictures of the tree – summer, sundown and winter.

  • Coyote looking out over the valley in Estes Park, Colorado. She seemed to be in awe, just for a brief moment, at the wonder of the world around her. I know I was… :-)

  • A meadow full of Thistles of all sorts and Common Viper’s Bugloss…a rather prickly thing to walk through! Lovely to look at though! Summertime is great! :]
