  • Drowned Till Dawn I submerge while night surrounds, and eagerly wait for a new light… José Ramos

  • Vacuity… Just as fast as an echoe of dust particles sweeps around my brain, I’m able to feel how empty I am after all those injuries. A solemn vision of the failed project of having a soul, is exquisitely joined by the alien silence of the most intense experiences of being one. There is still no answer after removing the giant stones that cover my ears, and those desperate and distant screams no longer cause any impression to the senses. Void of possessions and ruled by the absence of instincts, there is no other option than travelling above the sharpened and deadly razor of vacuity, momentaneously secured by the rope made of what I once were… till it breaks… José Ramos

  • This another shot from Cable Beach. I couldn’t decide whether I liked this better with the more vivid colour or the shot of the whole train. Can you help?

  • Captured along the Mount Evans Wilderness in Colorado, this is one of those waterfalls that kind of sneaks up on ya outta the blue, and if you blink, you actually miss it. I really don’t much in the way of long exposure shots, but after being happy with how this one came out, I am going to start doing them more. Hope ya all like it! • Best viewed large. / Shot in a small stream in Royal National Park just south of Sydney Australia. / The blueness of this shot is a mystery to me. I’ve noticed that if you shoot moving water just after sunset it does tend to bring out the blue wavelength, especially if you use a polarising filter oddly enough. But I’ve never got this intensity of blue since. I made some adjustments to the curves and levels in PS to accentuate contrast a little but there is no colour manipulation to the water – this is how it came out! The only thing I can think of is that for some reason at that particular time and the particular angle I was taking this shot the auto colour balance in the camera was fooled into boosting the blue wavelength but this still doesn’t make much sense to me. Any other suggestions (short of radioactive material being poured in the water upstream lol)? I’ve actually got some even bluer than this but, quite frankly, they look so over the top it looks like I went nuts with PS so I haven’t posted them. / Shooting info as follows: / Tv 6 secs / Av f29 / ISO 200 / FL 70mm

  • UNTOUCHED…JUST A YELLOW FILTER ADDED. / This was takeen at Lake L’Achigan,St-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada / I was comming back from breakfast in the village where I live when I saw this scene ,I stoped ,couldn’t beleive that I wasn’t able to see on the other side of the lake.Heavy fog and soft light gave me the opportunity to do this image,I just love it ,makes me think of an old painting. If you look carefully ,you will see the other side’s shadow. The reflection was great because there were no fog in front of me just on the other side.A very foggy sunrise it was. When I did this shot it thought about «Water world» and how our the planet is beautiful even with a little piece of land. / 7000 + VIEWS / / / /

  • Abundance – The Fountain http://www.joseramos.net A different approach, shot in the same day and place where I made the “The Infinity Fountain Photo”, capturing the same essence and feeling… Once more, standing alone in front of another memory, I harvest my thoughts from the infinity fountain ahead. The cycle repeats, as I find myself pulled away from the tedious life of today, feeling I could grab the source and remain there silently… After one hour of search and 20 minutes waiting under a rock for the intense rain to stop, the skies finally opened to let the sun set in and show it’s strength. The beach was absolutely desert, and the next 30 minutes were made of pure photographic pleasure… I came home wet and cold, but my inside was warm and soothed… José Ramos / http://www.joseramos.net / ____ / Shot in Algarve – Portugal

  • “Clouds on the Water, Fire Near the Sky” / Purchase a Mouse Pad of this image I happened onto this gorgeous sunrise over the White River at a time when the water was at its lowest. I was delighted to catch the calm surface for reflections, as the low rising sun was casting its first orange glow over the autumn colors.

  • Lonely ship…

  • Location: Laklouk, Lebanon

  • This is a closer view of the storm at our pier in Holland Michigan. Just after this happened I received a big splash with the wind.. I got wet and the camera got a bath.. I had a big paper towel to wipe it off and pull out the battery.. No problems .. Gads.. Its hard to imagine how much of a water surge is going on.. But let me say that the pier has about 8-10 ft of clearance from the walking area of the pier until it hits the water.. None of my friends would go out there to help with the perspective figure that.. Hope you enjoy.. This is the first upload not using dial up.. It would take about an hour to do so.. LOL.. / Chuck.. Oh Yes It’s Large
