After a cold night with some snow (March 2008), morning sunshine turned all the snow into many water droplets. You may want to check a blue toned version of this photograph:
Reeshofpark, Tilburg. A photography turned into a digital painting. Having my daughter just picked up from her school on one Friday in November 2007, we ran through the local park to be in time for her ballet class. We were nearly too late, because in the park I couldn’t leave this lovely autumn scene behind me without taking a camera out of the bag! / I love it in big format, so this is a procedure how to make a nice print out of a photograph taken by a simple 2MB digital compact: / - photograph a lovely scene (important!) / - upload the file into your computer / - use software wisely to improve it. / What I did with this one: / - first, in Picasa: Feelin’ lucky, color temperature, sharpen, glow, gradtint / - second, in GIMP: scale, oilify, add frame if desired I hope you will like the result as much as I do. Comments and critiques very welcome :)
Remember the nature that once was in the cities of our world.
This was a very interesting image that I did after taking a photo and changing it into a painting using Corel Painter X and a wacom drawing tablet. It is one of the most succesful images I have created

I love this pic… the calm of the water on the day, with the sun shining down and the gentleness of the water lapping at the rocks, throw in a tree and a man made pier in all one shot
its a creek, what more can i say
At the feet of Schesaplana, the highest mountain of Rätikon, Austria, and 1970 meters above sea level, Lünersee is one of the biggest natural mountain lakes of Alps. Construction works between 1920 and 1959 made it a part of a pumped storage hydroelectric scheme. The lake is accessible via a steep ascent on partially secured trail, or, comfortably, by a cable car. Its surroundings make a paradise for hikers, climbers as well as fishermen. And for photographers, of course :)
Lago di Garda (Lake Garda) is the largest lake in Italy. Its northern part is surrounded by mountains, of which the Monte Baldo range (on the eastern shore of the lake, shown far on the left side of this photograph) is the most popular by tourists. / After waiting hours for free parking space and cable-car on a sunny day in August, one has to share Monte Baldo with crowds of other tourists. That seemed very unappealing to us so we better decided to climb Monte Stivo located to the north-east of the lake. / 2059 meters above the sea level, Monte Stivo offers stunning view of the Lake Garda as well as many beautiful mountains including the Adamello and Brenta groups. Taken in August 2001 on a cheap negative using a 28-80mm kit lens, the original photograph was not really rich in details; therefore I have applied the watercolor filter to improve the perception of overall sharpness in the image. Finally, I have converted it to black & white. As you can see, there are some blown-out highlight in the lower clouds, that were much brighter than the rest of what we have seen. I have decided not to retouch the blown-outs to keep the (maybe a bit surreal) mood of the image.
