We went for a ride just to see the beauty the snowstorm caused. I love this camera for the color is always so awesome.
A timeless Great Grandfather Christmas Tree…
Beautiful view of Interlaken lake, Switzerland.
I wandered down a snow-covered country road this morning and found some beautifully covered pine trees and an old split rail fence. The old, dirt back roads harbor some peaceful and serene scenery that one seldom sees… /

A darling little cabin in West Kelowna, BC, Canada that (I believe ) is actually used as a shed by Gorman Bros. Lumber Ltd.

Winter fog, early morning.
This is another angle my wife Camellia did of corner rock creek. I think she really captured the moment.
This is our son Billy and his girlfriend Bobbie below crabtree falls. I really like the way this came out, considering they had to stay extremly still through a 3.2sec shutter setting. This wonderful little pool of water is located on mineral creek in the pisgah national forest very close to our home. I have shot this several times but was never pleased enough with the results to upload until now. Hope everyone enjoys it. a male northern cardinal braves a snow strom in a nearby pine tree, waiting his turn at the sunflower seeds. Cardinals are hearty birds, able to withstand the cold northern winters, but don’t forget them during these hard times. They need a food supply and a source of water to remain healthy. Feeding them during the winter months will ensure their presence in your back yard come next spring!

a pretty female cardinal looks skyward for that worrisome hawk that thinks my feeder stations are his personal smorgasboard. But, it does make her look so cute. I love the female cardinals in the winter time, I think they are just as photogenic as the male cardinal.
After more than a week of not shooting, Joe Mortelliti kindly sent me a bmail encouraging me to shoot what I see (or in this case, what we can’t see but know is there). Thanks, Joe. Ice and fog for more than a week. charming in a way - if the temps would rise a tad above 10’F/ -12’C. You can’t quite see the Chugach mountain range, three bull moose, two arctic hares, one red fox, one lynx - say, this would have been a great shot without the fog, what? Just about untouched from the RAW shot. Nikon D200, 50mm, f/1.4, 1/800, ISO 100 / Through One Eye
Looking up at the trees in my yard…........... / Light of sunset on the iced over trees, mother natures all natural winter lights….......it was beautiful, the whole forest was lit up with millions, and trillions of tiny lights!! LOL! It was awesome!! They looked electric! / This was a bit much for my point&shoot, but it was fun!! / /
