Fire and Ice. It’s winter here in the Netherlands and i shot this at sunrise after a very cold night. Shot with my sigma 10-20 @10 on a d70s +f/8 + Nd grad filter.

It was again a snowy day. Kathy and Amber our Daughter and her son Blake were making a journey to visit our family for a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner.. The roads were not very good at all.. I also was not driving . So when we came up to this favorite tree of Amber’s. I asked for Kathy to stop the car.. The snow was coming down pretty good.. I do so love the view here.. This pic is as it was when I captured it. 2 Nights ago we had a small ice storm, it left about 2 centimeters of ice on every roof, electric lines and every trees in the locality, I have my share of trees surrounding the house, lilac,pines, maples, cedars and bushes of all kind. / Yesterday night was a full moon, the sky was clear of all clouds and the moonlight was very bright with no fog, here are some photos of a series I took around the house, some in total blackness with no street lights to disturb the beautiful bluish rays and hues of the moon and some have a little spark coming from the orange tinted lamp post we have as street lights in front of my house. / This is much better viewed larger, you’ll see… / Hope you enjoy the pics and thank you for viewing! 1-WOOOOOOW! Like the song ….A macro shot of a piece of ice from my roof last winter,I was so surprised how the sun came out.I was holding the piece of ice in front of the sun…just experimenting the effects it will make.I thought it was to overexposed so I only added a blue tone,that’s it…. / /
