Came across this little place today that i never knew even exsisted, it was so peaceful and all you could here was the sound of the water… Beautiful /

  • This piece was inspired by my love and passion for nature. This image is comprised of 3 different photos I shot. The background is the Mountains in North Georgia. The hands are mine….. hubby helped with that photo :-)..... and a red-tailed hawk that I’ve used in other images in my portfolio. I’ve merged all 3 images and applied the Orton Effect in PS. / To Love Nature is to “Embrace” Her…..... Not destroy her!!

  • Wild Sunflowers of the Sunrise Taken at just past 5am as the Sun comes over the eastern plains of Colorado….serene and tranquil, where not a sound was heard…surreal Minolta 5D / Minolta 18-200 DT Lens / Dynatran 858 Tripod / Singh-Ray CPL / HDR through Photomatix

  • I’m nothing…I am because there’s the Sun…only then….I can be alive…So it’s the blessings of the Sun that we thrive on… Inspired by the ancient ways of Sun worship in the Hindu mythology and many religions worldwide.. This painting depicts the five elements, Earth / Water / Air / Sky and / Fire Oil-on-canvas / 36 X 24 inches This inspired poem is by a dear and a departed friend HAFIZ … I want both of us / To start talking about this Great Love As if You, I and the Sun were all married / And living in a tiny room. / Helping each other to cook, / Do the wash, / Weave and sew / Care for our beautiful / Animals. We all leave each morning / To labor on the earth’s field. / No one does not lift a great pack. I want both of us to start singing like two / Traveling minstrels / About this Extraordinary Existence / We Share, As If, You, I, and God were all married And living in / A Tiny / Room / Water melted from iced melted… / The lake of the new dreams.. / where the reflections of the love they share… / will get into the ear.. / travelling along the sun beams…. / down… there.. / into the profoundity. / Rosa (Beautiful picture… and wonderful poem….just tell your friend…)

  • Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado…..and how I love shooting up there when the winter weather begins to roll on in…the wind is bad, the air—-freezing cold, but the images that one can capture are filled with atmosphere and drama, case in point, this shot here. I about froze my butt off getting this shot of Mummy Mountain, but I wanted something that really showed all the detail here….that represented what it’s all about being a nature photographer in Colorado…... / Thoughts welcomed! / HDR blending used to bring out more dramatic light and detail / John

PLEASE VIEW LARGE.XOXO At the heart of the matter.. as my journal entry eluded to… when you love you just do.. at that moment.. no future taking away because he/she is now acting like a well..shit. Nope.. you love when you can and leave the rest. / No regrets no promises.. Just a feeling for a moment that makes one feel good. And when I feel good, I invite all the vibrations that are of like essence to flow right to me.. So if it is in the moment that thru my mortal enemy I give my self a kind repreieve and feel the Love..why not just let it happen.. Who cares when all is said and done there is just>>>>> Love in the End<<<<< And Love always feels Good.

  • My parents have a nice large print of this photograph in their holiday cabin at Apollo Bay because it is one of their favourites of mine. They also have three other prints by local artist Pat Shannon , which represent their beloved weekend getaway so well. Date Picture Taken: 15/7/2007 / Camera: Canon EOS 350D / Lens: Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM / Polarising Filter

  • “The Road To Home” Ya know, sometimes I just sit in amazement when I am shooting and just look, gaze, and take it all in…..if photography has honestly taught me anything, it’s to see better, noticing things you normally wouldn’t even see. Case in point, this shot here. Most people probably just drive on by this place never giving it a second glance, but to me, it was something very special…...so special that I spent about 30 minutes here shooting it. Living in Colorado really has it’s benefits this time of the year…as Autumn sets in and the sun goes south, the light becomes so utterly magical, thanks to our elevation. It becomes so warm and saturated in the morning, that everything seems so alive….so gold. Captured on a rural backroad between Boulder and Lyons, the old road leading to cattle pastures I felt made a very worthy subject, especially considering the colors involved, the light, and the overall composition with the tree. • I love photographing in bad weather, there is just something about the drama of it all that amazes me, and this was of no exception. Garden of the Gods outside of Colorado Springs is the location, a place which, is simply magical and unlike anywhere else on Earth…the light here is the best I have ever seen, and even when there is none, it still holds it own. Captured this past early spring, where at the higher elevations the clouds brought snow, but where I was at, it was rain. Processed in HDR with final output through PS. / Thoughts welcomed! —-—-—-—-— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved.
