  • The Infinity Fountain Once more, standing alone in front of another memory, I harvest my thoughts from the infinity fountain ahead. The cycle repeats, as I find myself pulled away from the tedious life of today, feeling I could grab the source and remain there silently… / After one hour of search and 20 minutes waiting under a rock for the intense rain to stop, the skies finally opened to let the sun set in and show it’s strength. The beach was absolutely desert, and the next 30 minutes were made of pure photographic pleasure… I came home wet and cold, but my inside was warm and soothed… José Ramos

Taken at Anderson Ranch Reservoir, although the sun was not where it seems to be, this really was an illusion. I had to get out and catch this shot. I love this lake and this place. When we lived here my camera was with me at all times, even when I went down for groceries, you never knew what you might see on the way down or back up. I love it here and it will always be home for me in my heart. Exposure time 1/160 sec., / F-Stop F/4.0, Aperture Value F/2.0, ISO 64.0. Canon EOS, Rebel XT, Lens 18-55 mm.

  • Lookout Mountain outside of Golden Colorado at Sunrise….quite an amazing morning! Thoughts most welcomed!

  • I took this picture a couple of years ago at the beach of Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. / This is a fine example I think of how a fisheye lens can completely change the feeling of an ordinary scene. The subject is simply some surf on the seashore, captured from a distance of not more than a foot. / The original picture is a Fuji Velvia 50 Iso medium format slide. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo

  • Mother nature presented me on a last October evening with one of those sunsets that you can hope to see just once a year if you’re lucky. / High layers of scattered clouds, a pure, clean atmosphere and the fact that at the end of october the twilight lasts almost a hour, all this elements contributed in producing a stunning natural show. This is the Po River near to Carignano in Piedmont, Italy. I hope you enjoy it, thanks for dropping by. Paolo

Will it be sibling to me?” / ‘Yes it shall, it will grow by and by.” / And the trees stood and watched / the new reach for the sky…....” Author: adgray / See the rest of adgray’s writing inspired by / New Growth New Hope here. • What do you call the light that permanently imprints itself into the deepest corner of your cerebral real estate? Just a memorable one, divine, sublime? The star was going down fast, as it was just a matter of ‘to get it over and done with‘ a daily sunset routine – until that moment. Like it was switched on by some all powerful hand residing somewhere in the center of a kingdom of light, the sunbeam reached across the valley, bringing all the associated attributes with it, like joy and warmth, just for a few moments, before disappearing altogether. The blue cold haze drowned the beautiful Hawkes Bay valley, but not before the last ray of sun got there first. I was standing in awe … for a while in fact, still in disbelief. Review button and LCD screen confirmed it did happen. Sweet. I’ll treasure selfishly the melody of breeze passing through the treetops, the smell of golden grass and feel of fallen leafs under my feet. Not to worry, I left something to share with you. Here it is.

Fochteloerveen belongs to the Society for preservation of nature monuments in the Netherlands, this is a Dutch organisation founded in 1905 that buys, protects and manages nature reserves in the Netherlands. Restoration programma of the Fochteloërveen raised bog! / At the end of the last Ice Age, about 10 000 years ago, an extensive area of peat bogs was created along what is now the Drenthe-Friesland border. For centuries, peat was used for heating on a small scale, but large-scale land clearance for agriculture between 1600 and 1900 fundamentally changed the character of the region. All that was left of this once huge peat resource was the Fochterloërveen (3 000 ha) and a few smaller cores. Even here, the peat degraded and turned into earth after the peat bog was drained for tree-planting and farming (of buckwheat varieties). The result was a monotonous expanse of Molinia grasses. Only in the highest core area was the peat still intact, complete with the vegetation associated with raised bogs. Sufficient peat moss (sphagnum) still grew here to sustain peat formation: it therefore provided a core area from which the entire Fochterloërveen raised bog could be restored. Apart from agricultural activities, this is a lonely, isolated region (the Fochterloërveen itself is surrounded by penal institutes), which in principle made the work of restoration easier. In 1965, the drainage ditches were sealed off and extraneous water was kept out. The task of restoration itself began in the 1980s, with the building of low dykes, creating isolated compartments on the bog surface. The aim was to manage the water levels in each compartment in such a way that peat moss could grow there again. The compartments proved to be too big, however, and the differences in their height above sea level has meant that some are too dry and others too wet. / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / / / Sunset in the Wetland Fochteloerveen / Featured in Amazing Orton Effect , All That Is Nature , Dutch Touch , Canon DSLR, 1 ARTISTS OF REDBUBBLE, The Beauty of the European Waters, That One Great Shot, Digital Photography”:http://www.redbubble.com/groups/digital-photography, The Scavenger Hunt

  • They were out on the same walk She saw buildings / He saw the sky She saw shadows / He saw the shadows of birds that fly She saw a crack / He saw a crevice She saw a hole / He saw a ditch She saw the homeless / He saw the rich She saw a rock / He saw a diamond When they got home they looked into each other’s eyes, / How shall we ever agree on this life at the same time? / They said all at once / Well… / She said / We must learn to revel in our differences / Lets go against society, / Every time I see differently or you do / Lets break out the champagne and the sweet meats / Every time one sees a problem.. Lets celebrate for the other / Every time one sees a solutions lets do it again … / Celebrate / Celebrate each other.. And then we will loose track of / Perfect timing cause every moment will be just perfect!! So they made a pact and they went for walks / When she saw buildings and he saw the sky they both / Were so happy for what the other was seeing it was like they were seeing EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE. / It was like it did not matter any more who saw what when or where; It just mattered that they were together. / And guess what? / THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER… TEE HEE / THE END Linaji 2009

  • “Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun; / Conspiring with him how to load and bless / With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run; / To bend with apples the moss’d cottage-trees, / And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core; / To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells / With a sweet kernel; to set budding more, / And still more, later flowers for the bees, / Until they think warm days will never cease, / For Summer has o’er-brimm’d their clammy cells . . . “ - from John Keats’ “Ode to Autumn” Digital Oil Painting – Corel Painter X 501 views as of 11/6/09
