As I drove out to the distant Salina’s Pueblo Mission Ruins in the middle of no where New Mexico (I mean REALLY out there!) , I drove through many Indian Reservations….a few were a tad on the scary side if ya will…however this one where I shot this on was a little larger and signs of life seemed rather optimistic. I saw this scene and just knew I had to stop and take it, a glimpse into the historical past of the Native American people of the Manzano tribe and Nation….. Thoughts welcomed!

Something about this pod intrigued me. So much so that I lost track of my dog, Shadow, for about fifteen minutes. This was taken at Whiting Road Nature Preserve in Webster, NY.

Low Barns is a Waterfowl Nature reserve at Witton-le-Wear and this was yesterdays photoshoot. We had a wonderful walk with the dogs and saw all kinds of wondrous things, thought you might like a view of some of them.

The screech can be heard for miles when they are aloft. Captured and cured, these magnificent American Bald Eagles will be released soon. First they must wait for the cold so the large birds can feed on there own from the near by river and then return when it’s warmer to Canada or Alaska. Once our most beloved endangered species, this emblem of America is now plentiful but still protected. One can do a long time in prison for harming or capturing this Icon.

Bonnie Lolita is a shy and reserved girl. Since birth, she has only a few friends. Her parents died in a tragic car accident 2 years ago. Bonnie Lolita was then sent to an orphanage. The children in the orphanage shun her because she looks different and weird. Many did not want to play with her or talk to to her. Bonnie Lolita has been bruised and scarred by many of her life events, this peer rejection reopens those wounds. She constantly asks herself this,”Is there anyone out there who will love and take me as I am?” /

Cheetah Taken at the Cheetah Park, Namibia. The owners of this park have taken wild cheetahs who have been in danger of being poached or killed by hunters / neighbouring farmers, and placed them in a large enclosed reserve. While the cheetahs are safe from harm, they are also used as a tourist attraction. Being fed as a pack while tour groups watch from a truck. Whether the owners are more concerned with helping keep the animals safe, or making a living is debatable. This photo has not been enhanced, changed or edited in any way. A walk in the natural reserve of Bog of Lake Iseo. On the south side of the lake there’s a nature reserve extended over an area of 360 acres: The Nature Reserve `Le Torbiere del Sebino’. A damp area composed of reed beds and sheets of water. The reserve is to be reached from Iseo following the main road in the direction of Provaglio. It is a must to visit this beautiful nature reserve, but please be sure not to scare the animals that have chosen this paradise to live. Here over 17 different species of birds breed every year. Like the didapper, the little bittern, the water rail, the reed bunting, the marsh warbler, the savi’s warbler, the gargany, the spotted crake, the cuckoo, the sedge warbler, the penduline tit, the coot, the mallard, the moorhen and other migratory species. In the waters of Le Torbiere del Sebino you can find all kinds of fish. Among others: pikes, catfish, eels, the perch, the carp, the tench, etc. Remarkable is also the vegetation. Canebrakes, water rush and stem. Big trees like poplars and alder-trees. On the water the beautiful water lilies. At the entrance of the park there is a fountain of the XVII century once used as a public washing place. The fountain sprays fresh water coming from the cliffs of `La Madonna del Corno’. Only a few hundred metres away at a dominant position is situated the monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa from the XI century. Marasha is a private Nature Reserve located 20km from Leticia in Peru near the community of Puerto Alegria. It is composed of an extension of jungle and Lake Marasha. The name Marasha, comes from a small thorny, palm, which is around the lake and its fruits provide food for fish and birds. / This is the Marasha Jungle Lodge located on the lake. /

Pyramid Lake is situated in the high desert about 45 miles east of Reno Nevada on the Paiute Indian Reservation. The Truckee River flows from Lake Tahoe, down the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevadas, through Reno and eventually into Pyramid Lake where it eventually evaporates. I was not here for a photo shoot so had little time to explore this beautiful spot. Will go back.

Up at Fleetwood nature reserve along the coastline of the river Wyre are these old shipwrecks. It’s a lovely walk along here and there are lots of different types of birds to watch. It is also a favourite place for dog walkers to go, oh and photographers as well!
