Celebrating life and exposing unexpected and overlooked beauty is a common theme in my work. I am inspired by eastern art and philosophy. Zen influences carry over into my creative process as well. I grew up in Maine and have recently moved back. The ocean moves me. Working predominately in natural environments using available light, I strive to create photographs that asks all to look closer, beyond the surface, and find stillness in letting go of our ideals. The items listed here represent a selection of my work. Please note that the copyright badge appearing on the screen under each image will not be on the final print. Each item is custom processed with a delicate attention to detail on a wide variety of professional archival papers. The photographs listed here are priced for prints only unless otherwise specified. By selling ‘naked’ prints I am able to keep my prices afforable for everyone. With that said, I gladly offer custom mating framing and fine art canvas for an additional price. If you are interested in mounting and framing, I would love to assist you. Every order is personally prepared by me. I sign each print with archival inks and mount on laser-cut white gallery mats. Framed prints I produce in-house as well, using black hardwood frames. All photographs can be printed at custom sizes. Most prints are available up to 20×30 inches prices vary. Today, Dan at EmptyEasel chose me as this week’s featured artist. He wrote a very perceptive review of my Ikebana Art. What pleases me most is that Dan didn’t know a thing about Ikebana prior to seeing my work. He is a very knowledgeable art critic and that is exactly how he approached my work. He looked without any pre-conceptions. He has made some very insightful remarks which I hope will help people here on Redbubble and the art buying public to appreciate the Art of Ikebana. Teaming up with a number of great photographers, my partner and I are very happy to have launched a new place where people who shoot landscapes and nature images in Tasmania can get noticed, and offer their work for sale. It has been a long road in the development stages, but we are finally happy with the way everything is coming together in our new online gallery. With the gallery only having gone public on Christmas Day, and our print partner out of action until January 5 2009, we are not expecting to see a rush of orders coming through. All new enterprises have to start somewhere though, and it always takes time to build reputation and familiarity with a solid customer base. In time, we believe that this can become a great outlet for anyone who shoots images within our genre. We are always interested in exhibiting new photographers and their work, though all images must first be approved before they make it into the gallery. In this way the standard is kept high, and potential customers have lots to drool over. We are also interested in hearing from people who are able to promote sales across the internet, and offer a commission on all sales you generate. If you are looking for great images of Tasmania, a photographer who produces Tasmanian images, or able to promote sales, especially within Australia, why not take a look at our gallery and get in contact with me for more information.
