And that is exactly what I did, slowdown, park, get out the tripod, and started shooting away! Often times the most beautiful things are the things which we fail to notice. Life’s little things, like this for example. My intention was to head for the mountains and normally when doing so, I wouldn’t even be paying attention to the sky, let alone stopping to shot it. Well, this time I took some time out so I wouldn’t miss it! Glad I did to, it was downright stunning! No one around, as you can see, just me, the breeze, and the colors of nature. I have always said that there is something about being up at this time of the day….and yeah, there is. Processed in HDR, long exposure using my 4ND and my CPL, let me know what ya think watchers! Print to come.
outside of the illusion she lives… / http://www.zazzle.com/andreacreations this was a different kind of dream… it was a trip… / where did she go? / she came back telling many stories of people and places… / she came back like a newly born baby… / she came back to me… / ... to her new life. (drawing made of my daughter’s face when she was in comma, in the hospital. all i had was time to be by her side, so i made many sketches and this one i edited in photoshop)
http://www.zazzle.com/andreacreations / pencil drawing scanned and edited (digital collage, digital painting, filters and effects) in photoshop cs2. this piece was inspired in the mail between a man and a woman and specially in the letter she sent back to him, burning in passion, in reply to his letter to her, in which he proposes to her and writes about his love. / it’s a letter full of love, devotion, passion and desire and it can be partially seen in the art a thousand kisses deep

The Aspen Stand This shot got some really good feedback over on FredMiranda.com so I thought that I would go ahead and share it with you all here as well. Photographed in Rocky Mountain National Park, this is the type of Fall Aspen shot I have wanted, but for some reason, whenever I have shot these kinds of shots in the past, they just never really have come out. Well, I think it did this time. It is almost to much of an iconic Colorado in Autumn photo, but I think one thing makes this one stand out from others. The lines. If you notice the black areas of the bark on the Aspen, that is actually where the Elk have eaten away at the bark. However, I like how it creates the line from left to right, going up higher as it goes to the right. I didn’t even notice this until I was processing the shot, and I suppose you can blame that on negative space. I suppose you can say that I am happy with the shot, I finally got the Autumn image I have always wanted. For those of you who don’t know how beautiful the Colorado Aspen’s are in Autumn, just ask Judy, she will be glad to tell ya! Let me know what ya think! / —-John

CLICK HERE to buy this owl from the Phoenix-Appeal raising money for victims of the Victoria Bush Fires This little owl is currently trying to help raise some much needed funds to aid and assist people who have fallen victim to the dreadful bush fires in Victoria at the moment ….the card is available for purchase at Phoenix-Appeal and I would ask that you click on the link and purchase the owl from there instead, so the money will go directly to the appeal…. / 1 Sale so far / / CHUNKIE Mother and Boy Child / / CHUNKIE Calendar Series One now available / / Chunkies are a new series of figurines I am working on .. / / CHUNKIE Birthday Fairy / / CHUNKIE Owl / / CHUNKIE Lotus Love on Golden Pond / / CHUNKIE Sunshine / / CHUNKIE / Elephant / / CHUNKY Diver / / CHUNKY Indian / / CHUNKIE Surfer / / CHUNKIE Ballerina / / CHUNKIE Geisha / / CHUNKIES in love / / CHUNKIE Hula girl / / CHUNKIE China / / CHUNKIE Lollipop Lover / / CHUNKIE Forest / / CHUNKIE Party / / CHUNKIE Pirate / / CHUNKIE Mod Girl / / CHUNKIE Tooth Fairy / / CHUNKIE Mother and Child / / CHUNKIE Wedding / Next in line is CHUNKIE Owl – made originally from black plasticine, he has been photographed with a number of things like bits of forest floor and pebbles and sand…also used a beautiful piece of coral which is the white branches behind the little owl…his eyes, face and wings are all photoshopped in, and his little body’s colour has changed to give it a golden glow. Makes a nice greeting card for anyone for any reason, since owls are very popular. Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

A loose watercolour painting with touches of acrylic on Arches paper. Imagine an evening stroll along a hidden trail as the sun is setting throwing its warm glow across the shady trees… I did and this is what I created. Nothing like a glorious night to motivate one for a walk! Evening Stroll The sky was alight to my delight / oh my look at those colours what a sight! / Let’s go for a stroll I said to my dog / the night is clear, no rain, no fog. The flowers were dancing their colours aglow / the tree branches swaying putting on a show / the night lit up we were bathed in light / Oh for sure this was a glorious night! My baby (EF 70-200 F/2.8 IS Lens) finally got some workout!! Last Saturday we went for a shoot. It was 5:45 start, the morning after my daughter’s Debutante ball, ( here, and here), and I had less than four hours of sleep. Only after we got to the location, I opened my bag and – imagine the shock!! – realised that the previous night I took all the filters out – since you don’t need The Black Glass for the dance night! Luckily I had my new baby with me, and she had a bit of a workout, just the second time after I got it a month ago :-)) Canon 30D, / Canon EF 70-200 F/2.8 IS Lens, / ISO:100 / Apperture: F 8, / Speed: 1/400 of a second, / FL: 125×1.6 crop factor / Image:RAW
An acrylic painting 29cm x 21cm on paper of the stunning Wentworth Falls Queen’s Cascades which is a 10 minute drive from our home. Waterfalls are a gift from nature to be enjoyed and this one is exceptionally beautiful. Water sparkles catching the light / like the glint of diamonds shining bright / cascading over the rock it pours / noisy, gushing… the movement roars Linda Featured in: / HAND DRAWN OR PAINTED ART OF HAPPINESS AND JOY / REALIST PAINTINGS ABOUT WATER / REALIST TRADITIONAL ART / WATER MEDIA PAINTING
An acrylic painting on canvas 60cm x 30cm of the sun setting over the shadowed land. Night is approaching and the sun paints the sky with its sizzling rays in protest of its retreat. A painted memory of a romantic sunset. The sun is setting over the hill / the air is calm the night is still / It paints the sky with its sizzling rays / it retreats for the night until the next day….. I always wanted a “classic” kind of Elk shot, where one can see the steam coming out of their nose and mouth after the Bugle, with snow falling and such, and I think I finally was able to get it !
