  • The rogue wave
    by Mel Brackstone

This has all the things wrong with it…lens flare being the major problem, but it illustrates why I ended up so so wet….they sneak up when you’re looking through the viewfinder. scream up the beach at a hundred miles an hour and slap you across the back….. You can also see the way the sky changed….Dicky dawn was shot before the sun came up, and those dark clouds were behind us….they moved over quite quickly as the sun rose. • been reading about tribal child raising and the benefits, and we know I like birds… I began this art as abstract patterns, bubbles of pattern that transformed when I realised by putting a ‘fork in the road’ to the concentric circles, that I created an eye and beak. Before that, it could’ve been shown either way up. also, it transformed from earthy brown colours, to a colourful bird. ‘Is it art? ‘my teacher used to always question. He’s not here now. He’s just asking the question still! in my head! I like it-it’s bright, colouful and alive.

  • Stairway to Heaven
    by Garry S

The day summer arrived and it got stinking hot. This shot was taken at 5am and not a cloud in sight. The days temperature climbed up to 40.2°C in Brisbane. Summer is over is just over a week. This morning was certainly what I would expect in winter, crisp, vibrant and cloudless. Keep it coming…love it

  • Enigma I
    by Kathie Nichols

    US$4.32–US$98.80

Took this macro photograph with aperture priority, late in the afternoon, it was getting quite dark so I used a flash on this shot! Just love Palm tree bark, this one had been burnt at some stage creating the charcoal sections. I have a few more fascinating photos which I will be uploading soon! / My passion is macro photograhy. I love to find hidden landscapes and abstract art in the bark of trees or in rocks. I also am quite partial to macro floral photography! This photo was featured on the RedBubble Home Page 16th August, 2008. Featured in the Abstract Art group, 25th August, 2008 Barkscapes / / Rockscapes / /
