Located on the Mantaro valley, central Peru… this beautiful and peaceful place seemed to me belonging to a different world. / I spent a memorable afternoon, not many times i felt so well and in peace with myself, just happy to be there. / Just so hard to get there by land, not sure I will have the chance to go back again..who knows anyway… / /

Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed. Storm Jameson (1891 –1986)
A must to view larger! One of my fave places to take sunset shots over the Coomera River on the Gold Coast, looking towards the Hinterland! Panoramics /
A must to view larger!!!!We’ve had some really stunning sunsets lately and I just couldn’t resist this one, I was on my way home and had to find somewhere high up quickly to get this shot. My daughter phoned me and said I hope you’re taking a photo. I actually drove to a carpark behind a commercial building and took this over the rear wire fence. I now have a new fave spot if there’s a great sunset! Panoramics /

Went up to Lancelin yesterday to test out my new 5D Mark II . Got up there fairly early in the afternoon as we though we would have to try and find a location to set up . When we arrived it was blowing a gale and sand got every where , must have brough back half the dunes with me . Still stuck it out though and took a fair few shots . Later on the at night we though we would try some star trails as the wind had died off . Got a few shots would have liked to stay longer but we were worried about finding our way out the sand dunes at night in the 4wd and not getting bogged . / Have to say i love the 5D MKII . http://kirkhille.wordpress.com/ Various images of mine are for sale on various finishes and sizes from Gloss and lustre, Metallic and Fuji Flex prints. The Hole of Horcum is a section of the valley of the Levisham Beck in the North York Moors of northern England, upstream of Levisham and Lockton. The Hole of Horcum is a vast, 400ft deep natural hollow measuring ¾ of a mile across. It has been naturally eroded over thousands of years by the action of springs, though a more romantic legend tells us that it was created when a giant named Wade, who was in fact a Saxon chief, grabbed a ‘handful’ of earth to throw at his wife, Bell – the soil missed its target and landed to form the 800ft high hill of Blakey Topping which lies about a mile to the east.
