The Celle Valley is a deep valley in Ecrins. The four hours hike start at 1639m high to the the Refuge de la Selle at 2672m high inside the Ecrins National Parc. I did not reach the refuge because it was late. I went back at roughly 2400m high. In fact, it’s not very photogenic. It’s a high altitude landscape without vegetation, only grass and stones. The depth of the valley does not allow the beautiful light of the end the day to reach it.
Late autumn mountainside of Aspen trees with most leaves shed. Dramatic texture of white tree trunks, yellows leaves and dark mountainside between trees. Fine art look showing contrast and details. Don Despain of Rekindle Photo.
