Flowers are the sweetest things God / ever made and forgot to put a soul into. / - Henry Ward Beecher, Life Thoughts
Thanks to the magic of inspiration, I have produced another painting. As usual, I am tempted to continue fiddling. It may need gold, perhaps… I know we are requested to only put finished images up….it could be finished! We’ll see.
Ok, Now I know its not only the human race that can go nuts. This dragon fly looked like he was doing push ups to me. Couldn’t be trying to impress the lady Cause there were none around. I think hes just gone mad!
This photograph was taken using the TtV technique and is part of my TtV: Through the Viewfinder Series Photographed using a 50 year old vintage Argoflex Seventy-five and a Canon.

Taken at Havant Thicket, this Song Thrush was enjoying the dried meal worms that i put down for it. I was able to stand close to it and take some shots.

Guess what I found inside a red flower – green hungry aliens has been screaming at me so, I did my shot with Nikon D60 + super macro ring
I believe this is some type of bromeliad, however, I could be wrong. Taken at a botanical garden in Sarasota, Florida. Other than taking out a few lighter spots, the image is as it was taken with my Nikon Coolpix P80.
Photographed at the Viera Wetlands in Melbourne, Florida just a few hours after sunrise. A couple of Otters came out of the water and was playing hide and seek in the grass. Very rare to see them during daylight hours out of the water so I was surprised when they didn’t notice me on the side of the road in my car as this event happened. Sometimes you just get lucky.
life in the undergrowth is all about the race for reproduction. seeds from the grass to the photographers friend, the dandelion Converted into a Holga/film effect
This one flower (I think it’s a lily of some sort) was found in one of my many unattended flower beds. I’ve been so busy this year I’ve had no time for planting and weeding. What a beautiful surprise to find a little color amongst the weeds. :o)
Three red lilies, one about to open, one partly open & one fully open / Taken with a Canon Rebel XT w/ 18-55mm zoom lens.

Instead of the yardwork that may be needed, I was stopped by one leaf on my deck. Canon 40D.
Yesterday I went back out to Rose Valley Lake, taking advantage of the rare perfect autumn weather. This very proficient kayaker practically had the entire lake to herself. It looked like a wonderful thing to be doing on such a pristine fall afternoon. This photograph is “straight from the camera”, no alterations or post processing were used at all. The image was captured with a Canon EOS 10D DSLR camera, fitted with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L Zoom lens. The lens was set to its 40mm focal length. The camera’s shutter speed was 1/90th sec at f/22. ISO was set to 100. This photograph was taken on a Manfrotto tripod. Your comments are always welcome! Constructive criticism is appreciated. © 2009 Gene Walls All copyright and reproduction rights are retained by the artist.
