The trees in our area have outgrown the space that they occupy. Due to the damage they are causing they are all being removed. Outside my front garden were three very large trees, two ash and one sycamore. I thought it a good opportunity to get my camera out and capture this skillful and dangerous occupation. I wanted to take the pictures without him being aware to look more candid. I took this from the landing window as it was the best place to get an angle on him. I told him later that I had taken photographs and gave him a couple of the images. I should have asked his job title, I am not sure what to call it. (Tree Surgeon, Lumberjack, Tree Feller.) I think this was where he caught me out, but he did’nt mind he says people take his photo all the time while he is working.

I was VERY lucky to catch this lil’ worker and even luckier he didn’t sting me given that I was following him around non-stop for about 10 minutes. I finally got a somewhat decent capture so perhaps it was worth the ‘risk’....
