As Autumn begins to give way to winter, the morning sky and light becomes more soft, as Mother Nature takes a turn and starts her winter hibernation. This sure was a different styled shot for me. I actually intended to get down to Washington Park and shoot the sunrise but instead was greeted with something that seemed otherworldly. The sun backlighting the clouds and the dampness in the air made for quite a surreal feeling, standing here in absolute solitude, not a sound, not even the Geese you see in the water made a sound…it was ominous. I figured I would try something really different for once and got out my tripod and put on my Minolta 28mm F2.8 lens for this shot ( I am LOVING that damned lens BTW, sharp as a tack!) and started firing off shots, then it hit me,—-why don’t I try a few long exposures, and well, this is the end result. 10 seconds. Personally I kinda like it, an odd impression it gives with the Geese in the water, reminds me of a painting, and surreal as well. Does it work?? I am not entirely sure, you be the judge. I would love to hear what ya all think of this shot. I have gone ahead and submitted it under the surreal category, a category I don’t think I have ever submitted to before…. Nestled outside of Copper Mountain in Colorado, this caught my attention fast as I was coming back home to Denver. It literally came out of no where, and thus I slammed on the breaks and made a B-line for the shoulder of the road. Amazing that in such a large city, nature thrives, never knowing that this peace is surrounded by so many people. Below is a family I sponser.. for three years I have assisted Tenzin and her mother Lhamu … she also has 2 other daughters.. they came over the mountains on foot to Dharmsala. I know many Tibetans and Chinese so I will not say the Chinese.. it is like say the Americans.. I only know that Governments do not represent the heart of a total people. We are celebrating our freedom with Obama.. and of Unity.. but let us remember.. here in our Country of America.. we stole.. like the Chinese seem to be doing to the Tibetans.. THE ENTIRE COUNTY OF AMERICA FROM A PEOPLES THAT NOW ARE REDUCED TO RESERVATIONS…. / So I do not want to be quick to judge the time and place for pointing fingers.. Let us say that I love my Tibeten friends and I love my Chinese friends too.. So.. The Power of One.. crosses to The Power of our Hearts for the fobiels of MAN.. PEACE ON EARTH.

I owe my brother Paul Reyonlds for this part of the Elevator Series. He is my Guru who began eons ago to tell me it is all within you kiddo. YOU got it all here… and he would whip my ass in yoga, as he is the finest Teacher I have ever had. I used my eyes and layered them into my Guruji’s picture in India Shri Shankardas JI who also taught me so much about Love. As he found me one day crying on the roof…(I was in love with him) and desperate for a kind word. I did not know he was there. And then he was… like a ghost he came and stood before me and said … Saraswati.. What is wrong with you? I simply cannot take your tears… He never touched me nor I him.. He is Yogi and that is not allowed. I did not tell him my desperate feelings for him. I loved him because he was a miracle and he was so connected to Source and I was still finding my way. Well he stood over me and I finally said. “Oh Guruji.. I shall never never be loved”… and he said “you are a silly girl”. And so he sat across from me and taught me much that day. It was not the lesson I was expecting but none the less it calmed me down and he made me laugh always. I was a thorn in his side, as I did not follow procedures well. I was a rebel with him. But the secret was .. he let me eat with him.. and he told me he never let anyone see him eat.. I used to feel so blessed when he looked at me and said.. Would you like some rice and milk? And I would sigh and feel special. Because in inviting me to eat I always felt and still do that he loved me. As much as any Yogi can love. And that is for the human kind of love.. minus 0!! So here I am inside my Guruji becoming the Guruji.. He would not mind I know he would laugh and say.. “You are a silly woman Saraswati” and I would smile and say, “I know”.

I have a poem I am working on with the feeling of storms involved. I am a sucker for the experience one gets in strong weather and felt this storm the other night deserved to be observed as a vibration unto itself. So there is the Goddess and The Gods written about these amazing events and I felt my way to producing a piece that depicts them and us.
