  • This is of some of the nature, that I captured while I walked around Hidden Cove. Sometimes you see things differently by looking at images you captured. Life is different, for some but we all have our on jobs, that we do. A butterfly must think how sweet it is, with its tounge hanging out! I cant help but be amazed by all that I see while I am taking pictures, then even more when I get back to my computer!

  • Old red topped barn in a field of white flowers taken at Smithville Texas this spring.

  • This shot was taken in the Texas hill country around Mason Tx. This was a very good year for Texas widflowers, looked like we had blue carpet.

  • Taken last year in Stonewall County, Texas. It is rather rare for us to have this much snow but we all enjoyed it. It was the week after Thanksgiving I believe. I put it in Sepia and liked it better that way.

  • I thought these two rice paper butterflies looked like they were in conversation, enjoying each other’s company. That’s what triggered the idea for a “thanks for the hospitality” card. It seems so bright and cheerful, like all good friendships are.

  • One of the many roses in the Tyler Rose Garden….an incredible place to spend an afternoon….so green, and the fragrance in the air is divine!

  • Ok…..you all knew I would eventually be posting at least one tree shot from my visit to Texas! :-) One day, my sister, my dad & I went for a drive in the country and took some pictures along the way. I was fascinated by the huge old oak trees we saw. This one reaches out with open arms…..sharing her wisdom with all the young trees in the forest…a wise and wonderful teacher.

  • Texas native vine- the passion flower vine- a favorite food for butterflies!

  • This is an artistic expression of mainly a tree. I felt the building has it own style that added to this image. I could not help myself, and had to work on this to try to put focus on the tree.

  • Taken at 9:21pm in South Texas. My very best shot. PLEASE- Tell me what you all think. Cheyenne2009

  • This is the path that old spirits follow. . . on the bark of a large old Texas Persimmon tree in historical Zilker Park at Austin, Texas.

  • Val Verde Winery was established in 1883 by Italian immigrant Frank Qualia, who brought with him the family tradition of winemaking. When he arrived in Del Rio, he found Lenoir grapes flourishing under the warm Southwest Texas sun, and founded the winery. After his death in 1936, his youngest son, Louis Qualia, took over the vineyards, who in turn passed the winery to his youngest son, Thomas, in 1973. Today, the winery is operated by third-generation vintner Thomas Qualia, with the knowledge and experience that has been handed down for generations. Qualia respects the efforts and expertise that preceded him, and is dedicated to producing wines of excellent variety and quality. Many of his wines have gained the attention of serious wine connoisseurs, particularly his Don Luis Tawny Port, which has won medals from Texas to New York. / / 2003 marks Val Verde Winery’s 120th year of continuous winemaking. It is the oldest bonded winery in the state of Texas, and was awarded the Land Heritage Award from the Department of Agriculture for single-family-ownership of the vineyards for over 110 years. Because of longevity and family pride, the Val Verde Winery is a landmark and an innovator in the growing Texas wine industry. Its survival is an inspiration to its future and the future of the industry in Texas. /

  • The Black and White version of Being Devoured By Mother Nature. / This is another from the junkyard in Mentone, Texas. It look like the branches were reaching around this old car and holding it down to be engulfed by forces unseen! This was taken in Mentone, Texas with a Panasonic FZ50 Engulfed By Nature Being Devoured by Mother Nature ( In Color ) /

  • All these Amazing images were from one single sunset as it was setting and changing its colors ..I just wish I would have been out in the open so I could have really captured how awesome this was!! What a Sunset this was and so not expected …..My sister was wanting to go out and get some pictures at the duck pond, Mini-Stonehenge and maybe some sunset shots as well . It was late on Christmas day when we were heading back to my house in Odessa,it was getting late and we stll had to go and drop off a couple of people at home before we could go out and take some shots .It was kinda cloudy out and we figured we mite have a decent sunset ! Well by the time we got everyone drop off , we were running out of day light fast and the decent sunset we were hoping for wasn’t looking like it was going to happen so we decided to go ahead and go to the Mini Stonehenge that they had built at the collage here and then if we still had some lite we would also go to the duck pond as well. / We were able to get some great shots at Stonehenge and the setting sun still did not look like it was going to amount to much so we got back into the car to head over to the duck pond before we ran all the way out of light . I had to pull into a place to get turned back around ….and in the very short time of having the sun at our backs and not seeing it…. a Christmas Miracle Happened…When we got turned back around and where now facing the sunsetting sun ..we seen the most amazing sunset ever!!! The colors were just sooooo ….WOW….and the more it was setting the more amazing it was getting !!!! / All the images from this sunset series that I will be putting up …have not had there colors adjust at all they are as I was seeing it! The only thing I have done to these images is crop, straighten, and digital noise reduction….which was done with Corel software…. when needed !!! This was taken in Odessa, Texas with a Panasonic FZ50 Texas Sunset / A Time For Reflection / Fire In The Sky / SunSet Drive / The Warm Glow Of A Days Last Light /
