  • Just In case You Forgot
    by Charissa May Borroff

Just In case you forgot or just didn’t see / What about that old spectre …

Before my Nanny (Gorgina) Borroff completely lost her ability to speak because of vascular dementia. She fought hard to get across her meaning. It has been heartbreaking trying to try to pick up on what she wanted to say with seemingly random words with desperation. somtimes it felt like if I looked hard enough her efforts felt profound. / strangely after a poetry workshop at her day centre everything she said from that point was then carried with a poetic rythm. similar to the rythm I fell into writing this. I hope I have passed on the meaning I found in her, all of my family and friends and the places I love. This is my first attempt at poetry so please bare with me. Just really had to get something off my chest. You may have noticed that it’s changed a little bit since it first went up but I think I’m done now. I dare you to google an Oil Beetle, it’s not for the faint hearted.

Often human forgets that he is a part of humanity and potrays himself as greater than humanity. Whereas the truth is, when we love everyo…

It is told in the bible that we are son of God, but rejected from heaven. Human defied the nature laws to gain knowledge. What kind of knowledge? Human still fights over religion, caste & creed, nationality and beliefs. He forgets the greater good in front of his self interests. He doesnot understand that he is powerless when alone but an energy when together. He is negligible creature, but a great entity when many spiritual selfs unites. In today’s world some innocent humans are devoid of rights of expresstion, however at the same time, great leaders are followed by the world. Sometimes humans are brutal and ruthless demon, at the same time they can be forgiving and kind angels. Human hold such a power to change everything worse into better, but he instead misutilises the powers and looses respect in the eyes of others. Human is modern in ideas yet still conservative. He betrays his dearer and praises the enemy for earthy pleasures. He is pure, but he is dirty. He is the messenger of death, but he may also be the saviour. Its the way human behaves that can change his life. He is created by God equal as the greatest gift of and for the nature. Humanity is the greatest religion one can practice.

  • Tree whispers
    by Shelleymay

The wind rustles the leaves of the tree / As it whispers its wisdom

This is my prayer to Gitchie Manitou every day. I ask that “Creator” help them(my family) follow the Seven Grandfather’s the same as I do for myself. If you or your friend/family have an addiction and you want to help, you can ask Creator to help them by saying “Creator give them bravery courage and strength to say no to their addiction. I face the east smudge myself with sage, say my prayer and put down my tabacco. I feel the sun warm my face as I pray, the birds are singing and the wind touches my skin. I am ready for the day ahead.
