Macro photograph from an Australian paperbark tree. This was taken late in the afternoon with my camera set on apperture priority! I am passionate about macro photography, I love to find art in the paperbark tree and rocks. Sometimes I find a miniature landscape hidden in the bark of a tree. The melaleuca tree is one of my most photographed tree barks. Featured in the IPA – International Photographers Alliance group, 9th August, 2008

Part of my Egret Series. This is a compilation. The sunset was taken on 09-27-08 in Arizona. The egret was blended into the image along with the water (flood plugin) and the rock was created using the pen tool and shading. Fractalius was applied to both images prior to blending. PLEASE VIEW LARGE.. !! This was taken early in the morning as we arrived for our journey to the Elephant Seal area. Mists and light and Peace. Taken in the Año Nuevo SNR State Natural Reserve Northern California / ELEPHANT SEAL AFTERNOON I have used this form of morning meditation for quite some time and feel the ease of this practice and results in a more generous day with better focus. This is a meditation to begin the day. In a seated pose, focus on your breath. Cultivate a steady, relaxed breath. Then ask yourself: What is my intention today? After posing the question, rest your attention on the out-breath. This creates a spaciousness of attention on the in-breath. There is no direction for the in-breath. Do not get carried away by thinking, but also do no tightly control the attention. Continue to notice each out breath. Sit until you are struck by a clarity of intention. It comes not by chasing it down with thinking, but by stilling the mind and creating space. It may take a few minutes, or much longer. If no specific intention announces itself to you, simply commit to acting ethically and with mindfulness. That is certainly an intention that we can all practice each day. This meditation seems simple, and it is simple. It’s power lies in its ability to help us act intentionally throughout the day. If you practice this meditation each morning, you will find yourself more ‘awake’ behind the wheel of your life*.

Sit and take in the life of the water / Slowly release all the stress of the day / let your mind relax and body re-alter / As your soul sends all your worries away Trudi 09 Sometimes we just have to slow down …........... The rugged cliffs and craggy escarpments of the Grampians are dotted with many waterfalls, including the picturesque Beehive Falls that drop into a sheltered rocky valley. This gently undulating track follows the meandering Mud Hut Creek upstream, through forest to a series of rock steps and on to the falls, surrounded by colourful cliffs. At Beehive Falls delicate ferns and mosses cling to the sheer rock walls as the cascade tumbles over huge boulders in its 25-metre drop. Large stones beside the rock pool at the base of the falls make a peaceful picnic spot. Return by the same route. The walk is especially beautiful in spring, when water levels are high and the display of pink and white wildflowers spectacular. From Parks Victoria This was taken in the middle of the afternoon on a day with quite challenging light conditions, by the way this faces l would say the perfect time to photograph it would be on a day that was very very overcast or before the sun rises over the escarpment / Beehive Falls is in Roses Gap at the Northeren side of the Grampians {Gariwerd} NP Australia !
