A burnt out car wreck I found in a local forest… and I was supposed to be looking for nice things to photograph! Humanity is destroying the Earth and killing its soul with its greed and disrepect… but if history is any indication Mother Earth will fight back and eventually out live us all. Our buildings will crumble, our cars rust and our bodies turn to dust…and the scars we have left will heal.

The SS Dicky was washed ashore onto Dicky Beach in 1893 during a cyclone. It was re-floated, but again, heavy seas turned the ship about and back onto the sand where it remains to this day. / / The suburb and beach was named after the ship. The beach is an unspoilt stretch of sun-drenched sand, on Queensland’s magnificent Sunshine Coast. Taken with my 5D and 16-35mm lens and I was so lucky to have a nature spectacle as the fog rolled in from West creating a mystic ambience I have also written a photographers guide if you are interested in knowing more about this site

This beautiful rusty can was in the water wheel Hall at Abbydale Industrail hamlet, this work room was a treasure trove of old tools and cans saw benches what would of been used in the 1800. There was very little light through the small windows so i was having to learn about ISO settings, and holding the camera as steady as i could as no tripod. So as i went about snapping away a big learning curve for me but enjoyable. / D90 Nikon camera On “P” setting / Nikor 18-105vr lens / Focal length 105mm / F/. 5.6 / Exposure 1/80sec and +0.3step / ISO 1400 Featured in Nikon D90 Group june 2009 Processed in Redynamix 1 image HDR soft ware after level changes in photoshop. / DSLR user since Jan 09 Hand Held.

Yesterday I reported the swarming of thousands of these beautiful creatures in the Mount Burr Forest in the South East of the State. This lot were clustered around the nut on a bolt holding the side plate onto a powerpole. Interestingly I went back today and nearly all of the tens of thousands had disappeared back to wherever they came from. What a magical twenty four hours this was. Thanks to Biggzie (see his site for some great images) I can now tell you that they are the: Common Spotted Ladybird / Harmonia conformis Canon 400D 18 – 55 lens with speedlight.
