As opposed to looking at life as a roller coaster of ups and downs, I am finding myself finally in the position of looking at it as a river that ebbs and flows…. And I’m letting go …and floating along with it, wherever it may take me :) It feels good to not be clinging on for dear life, but to be trusting in Mother Nature and the universe..to guide me to where I need to be. / ______ The river flows, its journey a force / that relies on more than just itself, / gaining strength from like sources / as it winds it way through time. / So are we as one, moving ever onward / toward that final place of belonging. / We shall gather, melding into one great sea… / one mind, one heart, one purpose. This river, this strength, / foretold so many years ago / cannot be stopped…. A dam cannot be built to staunch the flow, / for mere men are not in control. / The power is not ours, nor can our minds / fully understand its magnitude or scope. Life is much like this river, / sometimes calm but not always clear, / and sometimes clear but raging and wild. Let us embrace these struggles / in the hope we find a way / to travel these earthly waters well, / through that great sea of tranquil souls… In the depths we shall find our way. ______

Thank you so much for choosing them, we had lots of fun as they were following us up and down the river of Coulon on the Marais Poitevin, we also learnt quite a bit about them from their “feeder” who goes every day to give them bread, he knows how many Signets they have had and even has named them! He did try and convince me to get even nearer – the worry was feet wet or camera wet! I stayed on the pontoon where it was safer and a sensible distance from their beaks! Just wish I’d had the foresight and confidence to take photos of him as well it would have been rather nice….still maybe on the next sunny day!! Thank you Bits and Pieces :)) you made my day ….....
