photoshop work Original:
Done with an ancient, secret and mystic Welsh lomo technique graciously handed down to me by Matthew Norman
Skies alight with burning fire / Smouldering with clouds of grey / Flashing yellows, to admire / Blinding light in dancing play / To what power can compare / This awesome sight that we behold / What could make a person stare / And make a story here unfold / A feline, such a stunning beast / Who’s beauty cannot be denied / Such beauty for thine eyes to feast / Of shimmered gold and blackened hide / The leopard proudly takes her stance / They say her spots cannot be changed / And while she makes her perfect dance / To want to would just be deranged / By Julie Langford . Julie Langford whom we all know and love here at RedBubble, approached me when I posted the original Poser excited at doing a collaboration where she would apply a sunset to the image. I accepted, and needless to say the result is stunning as you see before you! But then, Julie asked if I would like her to write some prose to accompany the piece when I posted it, and again I accepted. The poem is also hers, and I must say she has made me proud! We hope you all enjoy this collaboration or as I like to call it a “Coolaboration”! I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all sales proceeds from cards and prints of this beautiful collage to Wildlife Conservation Society / / / / / / / Portfolio Areas / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

This took a while – extremely enjoyable and relaxing. In fact I may just do another in this theme. There is no background colour so by changing the colour of the tee it will give the frog a different look. Featured in – The Birds, February 7, 2009 I can’t help but dream of summer, and much warmer temperatures, when I look at this image. This piece consists of 6 layers (the background, 5 different layers of pretty lavender blooms, and an adorable little american goldfinch). After merging all of the layers in PhotoShop I digitally painted the entire piece in Corel Painter X. My intent with the goldfinch was to make her look like a baby, that had just left the nest, and was still looking for Mom to bring her some food. / / Fine Art Gallery / Bird Gallery / ADD RENEE TO YOUR WATCHLIST
730 views as of Nov. 16, 2009. Featured in Dimensions, August 31, 2009 and in Digital Brushstrokes September 6, 2009. This art started out as a photograph of a black-capped chickadee sitting on a cedar tree branch in the woods behind our home. / After several hours in Photoshop and Painter X this is the final result. Every pixel of this piece was re-painted (digitally) by hand to give the image a painted look. All of the miniature wild roses were created from scratch. / DETAIL CROP / / Canvas Print / / Flat Black Frame & Bright White Matting / / Fine Art Gallery / Bird Gallery / ADD RENEE TO YOUR WATCHLIST /

This one has been sitting unfinished on my PC for a few weeks, I was just not sure what I wanted to do with it until last night when I was reminded of the beautiful song “Autumn Leaves”, originally by Edith Piaf (in French, naturally), but beautiful also in its English translation as below. This was one of my favourite songs to sing when I was a teenager and I have wonderful memories of singing this to the beautiful piano accompaniment played by my cousin Anina. :) This is a mixed media piece in which I digitally combined a roller ball drawing I did for the purpose, with a chalk pastel drawing and photographic textures and brushes. Proudly New Zealand-made. :) Featured in Imaginative Realism, Sept 26, 2009. / Featured in Dimensions Oct 11, 2009. / Featured in Inspired Art Oct 18, 2009. Autumn Leaves Artist: Eva Cassidy / English Lyrics by Johnny Mercer and Music by Joseph Kosma The falling leaves drift by my window / The falling leaves of red and gold / I see your lips, the summer kisses / The sunburned hands I used to hold Since you went away the days grow long / And soon I’ll hear old winter’s song / But I miss you most of all, my darling / When autumn leaves start to fall Since you went away the days grow long / And soon I’ll hear old winter’s song / But I miss you most of all, my darling / When autumn leaves start to fall I miss you most of all, my darling / When autumn leaves start to fall
