The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. I sold a laminated print through Redbubble – August 2008 This is the coloured version Tank traps on Stockton bight, a series of sand dunes north of Newcastle. Recent visitors have discovered they are mostly all covered in sand now. I was traveling through the National Wilderness in Thomas Jefferson forest, when this scene appeared before me. I had moments to capture the light breaking through the fog. This picture will be appearing in the March 2008 issue of National Geographic.

This was taken along the Princess Hwy,traveling to Bairnsdale, Victoria. It’s so sad to see the effects of the drought first hand – the paddocks lined with dead trees and in the fog were a testimony to our harsh weather AS IS
